Let me know if it works out, happy to give out more pointers if needed!

The hollow operative seems painfully hard, even with the resonance thing. It charges too slow to be useful so I just end up dying. I put the medkit on autocast but it doesn't help. :<

There's the "renew" skill that just yeets all their debuffs away :D you can use spacebar to quick pause too!

Been using that, the reinforcement buff they get is so painful.

If you've defeated the turret before, you can use "suppression" to nullify their regen!

Oh, you mean the Task Force, the final opponent of Area 6? My best strategy has been to try and kill them without ever giving them a chance to reinforce. To me, it feels like the reinforcements are a penalty for not using the right kind of strategy.

I have a hint for that if you'd like: What causes them to request reinforcements, and how can you plan around it?

I'd like some help with A.C.T, it's so painful to defeat!
;-;

That's the endgame boss for ya. I'd recommend getting the "good" endings first for extra embers. The boss has three stages, and one way people beat them is to shave their first stage hp off to 75%+, wait for your ap to build up, pause the game just after they attack, and immediately launch all of your attacks on them to hopefully take them out with enough stats

Yes, but specialist strike healing them is so annoying.

They don't have specialist strike in the first stage, so ideally you'd want to mow them down before they can call reinforcements

(Or if you get all eldritch mutations, you can just curb stomp them, lol)

Yes but I already got that ending so i'd like to finish them off so I can get the other endings.

Ah fair fair, if you'd like, a youtuber managed to get out builds foremost endings, you can find them here: https://m.youtube.com/@kyosaurian

I love this game but the difficulty spike around the final boss is so massive that it is slowly becoming painful.

Will definitely check the videos out though!

I already posted a guide for this elsewhere in comments, but here is my strats.

To start with, you absolutely need all of the relevant categories specific upgrades, as well as those for relevant stats.

The strats I used were rushdown tactics where I didn't give em the the chance to call for backup. Here are the ways I've done this:

Omnicellular: just wait till assimilate is ready, if you've upgraded properly, you should have like 2.2k vit, which makes it 1 shot, even if you're missing a couple upgrades, you could additionally prime before using it to really ensure 1-shot.

Multicellular: Have your loadout be all the fortitude-scaling DoTs. Apply a couple relatively minor DoTs, but hold off on unleashing more until you have everything ready at once and they have just started charging a precise shot. Than use specialist strike and every poison DoT at once, they should die before they call for backup

Complex: loadout of the dex-scaling moves, prime-up and specialist strike. Hit em with one of the cillariry moves (don't recall which) making them around 24k hp. Than wait for you moves to charge and for them to start an attack, hit em with specialist strike, prime than fast attack, than spam your combat moves and they should die before they call for backup.

Human doesn't fight them.

None of these took me more than 4 attempts at the fight to figure out.
