It seemed to only be quite that for the first 2 extra tyrants, and not the ones beyond that, (well, they have more power and health than me by quite a bit, but I'm more powerful than my stats indicate) actually, but I do find the level of scaling to be unrealistic for if it's coming from being more alert, as the ENORMOUS gulf in power means the last tyrant you handle should be able to EFFORTLESSLY handle all the other tyrants at once. eg. 1 tyrant has 50 octillion power, the least powerful servants of the next tyrant have 1 million decillion power, and the scaling only seems to get more extreme

I was extremely powerful in act 1 (relevant as it occurs when suppression lowers), but in act 2, after the central town, I was pretty much always weaker than the enemies, until I spent many lives training my force tempering to like 2000 off the central town to not immediately die to enemies in the first tyrant's first area, and in all later areas I needed to spend quite a lot training my force tempering FAR beyond efficient training (less than a percent of a percent of a percent efficiency) to not completely fall behind.
I beat infinite faces the first time without every dying to them and the game still says I died to them before when beating them, clearly I am too good at this.
The reason I was able to do this was having an absurd martial will from act 1 (Enough to make it so my power was 150k decillion (I made it run out of suffixes) and than spending a life worth of grinding on enemies to get force tempering to allow me to exercise a fraction of that before ever even being aware of the tyrant.
I entered act 2 for the first time and it just broke in a way I don't fully understand
I got through the very starter intro sequence and than stared work on the new activities.
After doing the second of those activities, when the lifespan activity and another appeared, is where things truly broke. While I was still on this screen, nothing I clicked on seemed to do anything.
when I moved to another screen, I found a bit more about this issue. Clicking on time controls while on another screen does affect the time, however if I click on either life or explore, it does not go to those screens and appears to freeze the time while also making time controls not respond, however if I than click on any tab other than life or explore, it shows that time did progress and it did adjust my timespeed.
The game is still completely unplayable for me in this state because I can't access the life or explore tabs anymore
I had made an export prior to act 2, and just to check, loaded from that and went into act 2 again and the same issue occurred again.
I already posted a guide for this elsewhere in comments, but here is my strats.
To start with, you absolutely need all of the relevant categories specific upgrades, as well as those for relevant stats.
The strats I used were rushdown tactics where I didn't give em the the chance to call for backup. Here are the ways I've done this:
Omnicellular: just wait till assimilate is ready, if you've upgraded properly, you should have like 2.2k vit, which makes it 1 shot, even if you're missing a couple upgrades, you could additionally prime before using it to really ensure 1-shot.
Multicellular: Have your loadout be all the fortitude-scaling DoTs. Apply a couple relatively minor DoTs, but hold off on unleashing more until you have everything ready at once and they have just started charging a precise shot. Than use specialist strike and every poison DoT at once, they should die before they call for backup
Complex: loadout of the dex-scaling moves, prime-up and specialist strike. Hit em with one of the cillariry moves (don't recall which) making them around 24k hp. Than wait for you moves to charge and for them to start an attack, hit em with specialist strike, prime than fast attack, than spam your combat moves and they should die before they call for backup.
Human doesn't fight them.
None of these took me more than 4 attempts at the fight to figure out.
I don't understand how wilderness odds works. I just went through 7 lives going through wildernesses without getting anything. In maybe 15 lives total in the wilderness, counting what I had previously, I got a single wilderness upgrade.
It said something about happening in the first few years in any given wilderness, so on some of those lives I only spent like 10 years in any one and went in 10 different wildernesses, still getting nothing at all.
It is possible I'm astoundingly unlucky, as has actually been the case for me in multiple other games, including getting astronomically poor rolls at one point in fallen london (failed an 84% chance 24 times in a row, something like 1 in 12.4 quadrillions odds)
EDIT: Finally got one, odds for me seem like 1/10 lives rather than 1/4. Now I wonder if there is any way to keep track of em.
I don't think your improvement to knowing why condensation can't be done is as clear as you think it is. I gathered the 0.1 condensed qi it asked for and moved to the cave as it said to do, and the button appeared. but does nothing. I checked the records and milestones, but I couldn't find anything relevant.
Edit: Pretty sure it's just broken.
So after harmonized village, am I supposed to just spend like 200+ lives cultivating? Because at the rate of Affinity gain I have, that's about how many getting 9% all (technique give around 1%) would take, and I don't see anything else I can be doing yet.
This is multiple actual days worth of doing nothing but cultivating in this, and automation does not account for beast tides, so it needs to be babysitted more than once every half hour. And this is the rate with the best cultivation I have
And that 200+ estimate was based on harmonized village cultivation which you can't spend a whole life doing, unlike other methods. For those you can spend a whole life on, willowbrook cultivation would take about 4x as long, getting progress in an individual element about 2.5x as fast, but needing to be done to all elements individually, and cave cultivation is 1/16x the speed or so
After harmonized village, when crossing lvl 101 with circulate without a dominant sign (the evolved form of the cultivation from there.) I did not get a notification, nor did the level reset, but the cultivation method got a new name and far more powerful, but ONLY on the life screen, and not on the explore screen, where it kept its old name and power. The level and mastery xp is shared between the 2 versions. I feel like progression is borked.
