I'm working on a new game and are looking for someone to play it. In return I will play your games.

I will do a video recording while playing your game. (10-30 min depending on how fun your game are)

This is my game ( web build): https://simenhs.itch.io/hexatown-2

Hey played the game, it was pretty fun when it ramped up. Played 3 iterations stopped and like 7 research points I think.

Some things I think would help the game

quick tutorial (Was a bit lost in early before I found upgrading)
slow early pacing -  wasn't that fun first iteration
resource balance - wood scarcity before upgrades feels a bit harsh
cost ramp on buildings - I would really like to spam buildings everywhere I can, so there's more things to do. Instead I'm forced to be mindful of placing and best strategy is waiting for a better spot
Smiths - they are feeling kinda meh, not a lot of spaces where it can be crammed, maybe turn up buff or allow it to build on top?
last and biggest I think is sfx. No sfx really hurts the game.
also try setting up a prettier gamepage, it really goes long way

rated and left a comment!
Would like feedback on my game https://flemming1k.itch.io/out

Thanks for your feedback. I played your game to :

It looks really nice, it's beautifull and horrible at the same time. The fights was a bit hard for me, I managed the first one, but the others I couldn't do. Nice you had a skip option though.

General thoughts

Playtime: about 20 minutes

I like the core idea. The incremental city-building loop is easy to understand once it gets going, and there is enough placement and progression strategy here to make me want to experiment.

What worked well

  • Strong core concept. Building around the resources on the map gives placement some actual thought.
  • The incremental progression starts to feel satisfying once things begin to ramp up.
  • The overall presentation is clean and fits the relaxed strategy/incremental style well.

What I would change

  • More onboarding would help a lot. A very short tutorial explaining the basic placement and upgrade loop would make the opening much easier to understand.
  • I would look at the early pacing and economy. The beginning feels a little slow and restrictive before the progression starts opening up.

Overall, I think there is a solid foundation here. I would mostly focus on getting new players through the first few minutes more smoothly so they reach the more satisfying part of the loop faster.

Please consider giving my game a try, it’s browser based with a tight 2-3 minute game loop: https://barelyplayable.itch.io/blade-baes-brawl

Feedback form submissions preferred: https://forms.gle/fsJrAZDhJtP1CFXX8

Let me know if you’d like an invite to try the invite-only full alpha build :)

Thanks for your feedback. I played your game and filed out the form. If you didn't get it, here is my vidoe recording

This is VERY valuable and I’m very grateful thank you!
