How does the game fit the theme?
The plot of the game follows two angels. despite all appearances, its a story about one manipulating the other.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
the majority of my sound assets. they are all in the description of the game.

The two angels setup is pretty interesting, and using the pistol/gunshot for movement is a cool idea. Movement does feel kinda janky right now though, especially with jumping/climbing from what other people mentioned, so a bit more polish there would help a lot. Still feels like there’s something good here.

I had fun playing this one. Although, the difficulty spikes pretty hard! I think you should continue improving the movement mechanics because challenging platformers are best when the player feels like dying was their fault and not the fault of unresponsive controls. Next time you do a game jam, I'd encourage you to make something that more clearly fits the theme. It kind of feels like you just made a cool platformer and added some dialogue so it technically fit theme. It would have been cool to see you find a way that deception fit into the game mechanics of platforming.

You have an interesting story idea, and the gunshot as a platforming mechanic is kind of cool, but oh my God this is nearly unplayable. Unless the idea was to fit the "don't trust anyone" theme by making me not able to trust my own keyboard inputs, this is inexcusable. Every action from walking to climbing up the wall locks up randomly and I can't understand why; the double jump has only vertical momentum which doesn't fit with a lot of the platforming; the pistol has a three-shot limit in the air that doesn't reset until you touch the ground, which is fine, but you never state that in-game; and the grenades are impossible to work with.

I'm sure there's a good game in here somewhere, but you need to make sure that the player movement actually works before I'm giving this another chance.
