The grainy look, terminal system, and CRT style are all great. I really like this kind of presentation. It would be even better if the story moved a little faster—I often finished reading a line and had to wait a long time for the next one. There also seems to be a small bug where the first letter I type often gets eaten. The game is still a bit too hardcore for me, and constantly switching between the map and terminal was a little difficult, but nice work!

I’d also really like to know how you created the camera view with the terminal effect. It looks great.

Thank you for playing our game! For the cameras, I modeled a very rough layout of the museum in blender with perspectives of each camera. I took those perspectives and then added the finer details in Gimp after (Shut doors, # of burglars, etc.). Each picture was converted into ASCII art, put into an array, and thrown into Gamemaker. The font size also had to be halved to be readable at all. There were 120 total images to be converted into ASCII arrays. This took a while, but it was 90% of my job. Attached is one of those images not put into ASCII.
