Yes, we designed some specific behaviors for the wolves and sheep. For example, wolves never eat grass, they tend to wander away from the flock, and they respond much more slowly to dog barks. The sheep will also randomly get frightened by a wolf and flee, though as the levels progress and there are simply too many sheep, this becomes less obvious. Also, a wolf will reveal its true appearance every few seconds (mostly noticeable by its tail), and it will eat a sheep if the dog is far enough away.
Starting at Lv 3, we added "dumb sheep"—these are actual sheep that behave like wolves (except for eating sheep) to trick the player even more😉. But in general, since it's a cozy game, we didn't want to punish the player too much for missing a wolf. Just spamming the bark and bite buttons felt quite fun during our dev phase haha.
And yes, the friction was fixed! I simply forgot to change its default value hehe. I guess I'm the dumb sheep now🐑!
