Very fun game. The art style is enjoyable.

How does the game fit the theme?
You're a sheepdog: get the herd into the pen before the horn. The complication is that wolves have learned to wear wool — a disguised wolf uses the same sprite as the sheep standing next to it.
Only behaviour gives it away. A wolf lags behind the herd, keeps a wider berth from you, drifts off when you aren't looking, and never stops to graze.
But some sheep are just stupid. They wander, they freeze, they act guilty for no reason — and biting one costs you points. Every suspicion is a wager: act and you might be wrong, wait and the wolf eats your flock.
No suspicion meter, no reveal. Just a field of identical white animals and the growing sense that one of them is watching you back.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

Too bad about the re-upload going south! The gameplay of shepherding the sheep is very enjoyable, and I dig the clean art style. The dog looks like a really good boy!
Sorry your submission didn't go quite as planned, but it's a great game anyway!
I love the setting, the controls are simple and intuitive, the art style is genuinely adorable, and the wolf mechanic fits the jam theme perfectly.
Cute consistent art style, solid game mechanics and great fit for the theme. Great job.
The art is so cute, and the itch.io page looks amazing too! I feel like a few more hints for finding the wolf might make things a bit easier to follow.
It’s such a shame that the files got deleted by accident.
Very, very adorable! And I love the sounds for them too. It all fits so well. The game is simple but very fun and I like the subtle way of indicating which one is the wolf. Good job!
Hi y’all! 🐑🐶
Thank you so much for playing our game and for all the lovely feedback on SheepDog! 💛
Many of you noticed the nasty bug where the sheep would suddenly vanish, and we’ve spent the past week tracking it down and working on a fix. I think now we’ve finally got it! I wanted to re-upload the fixed version to the original jam entry, but unfortunately uploads are locked until the end of the jam, and the old version has been removed. So, I’ve made a separate playable version with the fix instead:
Please feel free to give it a try, and hopefully this time the sheep will stay where they belong! 🐑
And of course, if you enjoyed the game, it would mean a lot if you could leave your comments and ratings on the original jam entry — it helps more people discover the game and gives us some lovely memories to look back on after the jam. 😉
Thank you again for playing, testing, and helping us make SheepDog a better game!
Neat concept for the theme, having the sheep move into the pen while you look for the wolf disguised as one of them. The art and music are great too. One bug, though: when I bit the wolf, all the sheep disappeared. I guess can’t trust any sheep at all. Still, nice job on the game!
Thank you for the feedback! I think I’ve fixed the bug and wanted to re-upload the game, but unfortunately I can’t anymore (the upload is blocked until the end of the jam, hehe).
Anyway, I’ve created a playable project, so please feel free to test this one instead. The bug should be fixed now!

This was a blast! The main gameplay was simple but sweet and the art was really, really good. I had trouble catching wolves when they got a sheep, because I couldn't figure out the differences between the wolf's and sheep's behavior (I see now from the description they are indeed different, which is cool). Also, a few times when I successfully caught a wolf, all of the sheep completely disappeared, making the level impossible. Unfortunate but I still really enjoyed the game regardless.
This is a really lovely, cozy game. I really enjoyed playing this one; it felt like playing my comfort game. The mechanic of a wolf hiding between sheep is really clever and a nice touch. It was quite difficult to find the wolves among the sheep, but I'd say that's a skill issue on my part! Very, very well done! :)
The Shaun the Sheep inspired comic art, bark sound effects, and smooth flocking mechanics are absurdly charming—running around as a dog herding sheep feels super satisfying! Spotting wolves in disguise is a great concept that fits the theme perfectly.
A few gameplay and bug fixes to consider:
- Wolf Indicators: Adding stronger visual cues (or subtle audio hints like heavy breathing/footsteps) since relying only on the tail twitch can feel a bit too punishing.
- Pen & Physics Bugs: Fix the bug where sheep get stuck above/below the pen or suddenly vanish into thin air after kicking a wolf.
- Pause Menu: Clarify the "Restart" button in the pause menu so players know it restarts the whole run, or add a disclaimer on the page.
Super fun and cute jam entry! If you get a chance, we'd love to hear your thoughts on our game too: /jam/brackeys-16/rate/4953523
I felt like my sheep sometimes got a bit stuck when above or below the pen, other than that everything was smooth, and guessing who is the wolf in disguise added a lot of fun to the gameplay as well. Also, cute art and music!
I love it! Just a few bugs, such as the sheep sometimes disappearing after killing a wolf. Still, I love the artstyle and the gameplay can be tricky, but fun!
