How does the game fit the theme?
An important alien is murdered at a peaceful interspecies gathering. Everyone becomes a suspect, and the player must investigate, uncover clues, and figure out who can be trusted.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Some foundations for the dialogue and menu systems used existing code, but were modified quite a bit for the game. The font, music, and some sound effects were also externally sourced and credited.
How many people worked on the game?2

Great arts and voice acting. I can see great potential with the story and gameplay. Wishing you the best with the full game.
Aw, thank you!! Very inspiring, kind words. We are planning to release the game fully soon, so stay tuned!
Damn your UI is smooth.
Thank you so much!! Did my best to make it as pleasant as possible, really tried to push the game feel with this one. Means a lot :)
Good job on the voice acting and art. The game feels very polished. Also, your pause menu really gave me trust issues XD. I thought we were supposed to find the murderer but the game ended right after the murder? Seems like more content will be added later. Adding this to my collection with the hope that this gets continued because I really like the art style.
Appreciate your kind words! Yesss, we left off kind of abruptly, but on a cliffhanger on purpose! Mainly due to time constraints, though. We are planning to fully release the game soon, so stay tuned!
Feels really short, and looks like it ended on the most interesting part. Nice work!
Thank you! Yes, we decided to leave on a cliffhanger as a demo. So, perhaps, to intrigue players and wait for a full release :D
I find the art very cute! And the voice acting is not bad either, hope to see more of this in the future!! :3
Thank you!! <3 i had so much fun designing all the characters :3
I love the feel but... theres no game yet! (˶˃ ∇ ˂˶) looking forward to being able to do a full playthrough, and congrats to the voice actor they did a great job!
Sorry about that lol, we tried to get as much done as we could but timing just didnt work in our favor :')
It wasn't a bad trailer by any means i liked it alot!
I wish there was a narrative category in this jam so I could rate it five stars because the narrative is so good!
Omg thank you so much!! :)
I really liked the universe you created, dialogues were a bit slow and i think there should be some gameplay between the narration just to keep the player engaged, also the music started rising in a really nice way but then stayed strong for a long. Hope you keep working on that, good luck on the game jam!
Thank you! we definitly will look into expanding gameplay between dialouge and further ways to keep players engaged post jam!
Very interesting beginning to a story! I look forward to seeing where you take it!
The art is very well done, and I can see the vision with your sketch of the meeting room! The main menu is very satisfying to click through as well.
The audio is pretty good, but the voice for the narration is of noticeably lower fidelity than the rest of the game! It might be worth finding an audio engineer to help with that.
Thank you so much!! Unfortunately I ran out of time to make a full illustration for the dinner so I had to improvise lol :) glad you liked it!
I can definitely see this going somewhere! The premise is very interesting, reminds me of movies like Glass Onion and Knives Out. Love the design for Pip Squeak as well.
I’m honestly not sure I can rate it given it’s more of a written work than a game right now. I understand it’s still in development so I’ll keep me eye out. I can’t wait to see where it goes past the demo! Great job so far!
thank you so much!! The knives out franchise was such a huge inspiration of mine when we were coming up with a game idea so I’m glad it shows!!
Very text heavy, but the art looked great and the whole game felt really polished <3 would you also try mine, please?
Thank you!! your game looks super cool! <3
I like this could defiantly see this going somewhere. and art is really cool.
Thank you!! we really hope to finish the game someday after the jam!
I do appreciate that you tried do narrate all of that, i will give you a constructive critic from my perspective you voice is pleasant but it doesn't fit the atmosphere, it has to be deeper and harder, you cold try some voice changers for this type of story, also the tempo around 1.3x than the actual one, the texts are to long, i did try to wait until the end, for the first 2-3 i did but after that i skip at the halfway thru , i can't say i didn't liked the idea of the game, but there is a lot of room for improvement and can be much better. GL
Thanks for the feedback!
really loved the art and story was shaping up to be great but sadly there is no content the first time i thought it was a bug but its not , anyways great game hope u can continue working on it and making it a full game
Thank you for your kind words! Yes, indeed, currently it does end kind of abruptly.. but we are in active development to finish the game, so stay tuned! :)
Oh man I really wish it was longer ;-; story seems very well thought out.
Really loved the art and having a voice narrating is really nice!
hopefully when not under a strict time limit the story could advance :)
Thank you for your review!! Yess we tried our best to deliver as much as we could, but alas couldn't manage in time ): The story is already written down, and we are looking forward to release a full game in near future!! We are glad you enjoyed nonetheless :))
I love the unique art style. The story is written really well and I was curious to play the game. I was excited to possibly play it and make decisions, but there was none of that so I was a little sad it got cut off so abruptly!
sorry about that 😅 we were on a pretty tight time crunch so we treated this like a demo. Glad you enjoyed anyway!!
Thank you so much!!
