amazing game! it truly reminded me a lot of danganronpa!
the mystery is written fantastically, sound effects and music are on point, and the characters are pretty charming!
SPOILERS AHEAD:
my favorite parts of the game were the detective saying: "victim's a jerk" (i laughed out loud at this)and also the whole wife character, she was so funny the whole time accusing lucy.really good work, kudos and keep it up!
Nice visuals and story x)
Hey I love the concept and the visuals! But I think i accidentally triggered a loop where I got stuck in an evidence spiral with Gordon! I tried each evidence and couldn't snap out of it! : )
You have to submit the correct evidence at the right line to progress. I think I should've made that one fact clearer in the game.
What a fun little detective game here! Loved the art style, loved the simple yet intuitive way of playing, would only give it a small criticism: needed more playtesting and maybe some more randomness. Anyways, great job! One small thing, sometimes the dialog bugs out and starts indefinitely looping of a character telling its' story, which means you get stuck and can't interrogate others.
Happy to hear you enjoyed the game!
The dialogue repeating is normal and stops once you submit the correct evidence at the right line. I did think about letting the player stop questioning a character and let them come back to them later, but decided that it wasn't necessary as the player has all the information needed during it anyways.
This is great! I love the storytelling aspect you have implemented. Perhaps an ability to cancel questioning someone would be good as I found myself softlocked multiple times. Other than that great game!
This is the first submission i stopped at and tried to really understand how to play it. Unfortunately, they were just keep saying me that “I need to rethink this and look over my evidences again” or similar.
If they were a bit more hints, perhaps it would’ve helped me to complete this game!
You have to submit the right evidence at the right time during a testimony which is the part that keeps on looping. Usually the last part of a testimony is a subtle hint that you should look over your evidence and submit it.
I hope that helps you complete the game!
Exceptional entry, I would have gladly played a full game of this. It's like a bite-size ace attorney, marvellous job.
The case was simple and not too convoluted , which is always a plus when dealing with jam games. Your characters are varied and pleasants. There were some things I found strange, like them having lunch at 6pm, but overall this was probably my favourite entry so far.
(Also love the fact that the culprit went through the trouble of making this elaborated plan instead of simply poisoning the guy. Really feel like the kind of stuff Danganronpa would pull off)
Again, great job.
This is exactly what I was going for with this one. I wanted the story be easy enough to follow so people can actually finish the game without getting stuck for too long.
I also thought it would be odd for them to have lunch at 6PM when I wrote it but I just kept it as is. I just wish I was able that extra punch ace attorney or danganronpa have when presenting evidence.
Thanks for playing!
