Art was pretty and the concept of being able to swap the different shapes around was cool and has a lot of potential for more puzzles!
good job, and interesting idea.
the jump felt a bit off tho
Thanks for playing! And yes, we plan to improve the controls.
This was fun! I love the art! I was pretty confused starting out though. It would have been nice to have a tutorial
Thank you! Indeed, we need to start with tutorial levels.
This game design choice is very risky. I do like the puzzle platformer the textless, UI-less approaches, like INSIDE or LIMBO, but the way this games introduce to those puzzle elements were a bit sudden and confused. If this entire game gets divided into small rooms, it may be better for players to learn.
You're totally right! We'll do that in further updates :)
Thanks for playing!
A bit short, but very interesting to play! It took some trial and error before I finally understood what was going on. Maybe adding some clues or a riddle to help figure out the mechanic would be helpful. Nice work!
Thank you! Yes the game clearly needs a better learning curve. We'll probably do that now that the jam is over.
Played your game, really nice! We had the same concept, with the fox showing interactions that the player would fail (like at the start it stands on a platform that the player will go through). We'll do that on further updates of the game.
fire
The game idea looks so good, but I really don't know how to play through it :(
If you guys got any tutorial, I would be happy to know and play it again to finish it. Loved the visuals!
Yes, you're right, this needs more tutorial.
The concept is to lean the combination of the white shapes over elements with the black shapes thar are under the elements. For instance, white triangle always indicates that the element acts accordingly to its appearance, whatever the black shape. Square and circles are a bit less easy to decrypt.
Thank you for playing!
The visuals and audio are top-notch! The character felt a little too floaty for my liking and with the platforming being very tight, i found myself struggling to get further than the first few obstacles and not enjoying the gameplay that much.
Thanks for playing! You're right we need to spend more time on the controls and to include a proper tutorial to decrypt the shapes. We'll probably do it post jam.
Interesting game. It's kind of trust no shape.
Exactly! Trust no shape without looking closely at the shape that is under the element, it's all about matching.
Thanks for playing!
This game appears to be very creative in application to the Trust No One theme. It seems that some shapes are dangerous and can kill me, whereas others are harmless. Obviously, those moving creatures are the dangerous ones as well. Love the visuals though.
I keep on dying either because I kept landing on the dangerous shapes or completely misjudged the jump/landing.
Thanks for playing! The "grammar" of the game is probably not easy to read, it would need a proper tutorial rather than this condensed level ^^
