How does the game fit the theme?
Trust No One places the player in the role of a pilot during a potential aircraft hijacking. Passengers exchange suspicious conversations throughout the cabin, but not every suspicious clue points to the real hijacker. The player must listen carefully, decide who to interrogate, and ultimately identify the threat. Since innocent passengers can sound guilty and false leads are deliberately convincing, the player cannot fully trust anyone.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The music, sound effects, and most of the 3D models were not created from scratch during the jam.

How many people worked on the game?

The models of the various passengers look incredible. The newspaper design in the main menu and results screen is also cool. I failed to find the culprit on both tries. Sometimes, the UI texts aren't placed where the characters are talking and I just couldn't tell who was the hijacker.

The models used are from Kenney's Game Assets All-in-1, so check them out if you liked them!

We had issues trying to get the 2D stuff working properly in a 3D space (such is the case with the text boxes), I had only worked in 2D so far so I didn't know it would be so difficult! Thanks for playing!

I do know that in Unity, it’s very simple. I think the same can be done in Godot since you would probably create a UI in world space instead of screen space. That would enable the UI placement to be a 3D position somewhere in the world.

In this case, if the goal was to put text boxes above the character, it’s probably best to get each character’s position and put it above their heads.

Nice game but could be more polished. I loved the main menu design with the newspaper :)))

Developer

We did finish a lot of things right before the deadline and even then had some missing stuff so it definitely could be more polished, thanks for playing!

A nice deduction game! I wished there is like a UI beside the report telling me that is the report device cuz I did not figure that out at the first time. But, overall a nice game. Maybe can try to allow the player to inspect their items, but that would be overscoped I guess.

Developer

The item inspection was the very first idea we had! Until we couldn't think of items the people would have with them so we scrapped a lot of things we thought of, maybe we'll look into updating this game after the jam is over! Thanks for playing!

I definitely like the concept! It would have been interesting to have different dialogue options for the cop that could lead to uncovering the truth in different ways. Overall, though, I think this game has a lot of potential.

Developer

We had that idea at first and had a working system but we barely even got proper dialogues so we had to scrap it due to time constraints (aka definitely our fault...), thanks for playing!

I thought it was a really good concept for the theme. I would have wished there was more interactions with each passenger but overall well done.

Developer

Thank you! We did have planned to have a system where you could ask each individual passenger a set of questions but that was scrapped for time constraints (aka we couldn't come up with questions, we barely even though of proper dialogues...), thanks for playing!

We cant play the game did you set it to public

Developer

Yes, sorry about that! The game is public now and should be working correctly. Thanks for letting us know!
