How does the game fit the theme?
The theme “Trust No One” is built into both the story and the gameplay. The player creates misleading game trailers while M.A.R.K., their corporate AI assistant, constantly interferes with their work. Client briefs, promotional promises and even the assistant cannot be fully trusted. The second assignment makes the theme literal through a betrayal between two survivors.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We used and adapted third-party pixel-art assets for the characters, zombies, vehicles, post-apocalyptic backgrounds, retro computer UI, fonts and visual effects. Combat FX were created by Raphael Hatencia / RagnaPixel Studio under CC BY 4.0. The Stick Figure Character Sprites were created by Raphael Gonçalves and released under CC0.

The game design, writing, level structure, trailer-editing mechanics, M.A.R.K. interactions and asset integration were produced for this project during the jam.

This is a very well made game. Almost seems like a full fleshed game. Good idea good gameplay. The only thing I didn't really enjoy was figuring out how the program works and the AI text was sometimes behind the program.

I didn't finish the game but I'm rating this one very high.

Super creative game, loved every puzzle. Having to pull the 6 out of the calculator was a stroke of genius.

Congratulation on M.A.R.K by the way, truly infuriating from start to finish.

I feel like the implementation of the theme was a bit weak however. As a fellow trailer-hater I appreciate the sentiment, but I would have loved for it to be more connected to the gameplay.

Super solid entry, loved it.

That’s how it was at first—I had to create the animation trailer and the sound from scratch myself—but it would have been difficult to come up with a final assessment that way; it would have taken a lot of time, and I only had a week, as you can imagine. In any case, thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.

"Don’t Trust the Trailer" earns its title. I looked at the cover art and was intrigue. However, the game turned out to be a genre I don't like. However, it was well made.

I should never have trusted the trailer!

I came up with it as a partial implementation of another main idea of mine, and I hope that someday it will come to fruition and that you'll enjoy this genre. Thanks for the feedback)

Very cool concept! Does it end on the older scrolls trailler? Once I finish that one nothing more happens.

I really love all teh interface and stuff and the idea of the game, really good work!

So far, yes—I finished it literally an hour before the jam ended. I'll come up with some new levels and try to finish the story)
