Otherwise, I'm generally satisfied with the game; I can say it met my expectations, but I do have some criticisms:
I'm not exactly a big fan of AI, to put it mildly. So, I commend you on replacing the audio with the voices of real actors and composers in the latest update, and I hope this sets a trend that will continue in the future of the series. I wouldn't feel comfortable spending my money on it if that wasn't the case.
I understand that in some aspects, such as the songs in the Band Legends minigame, it was not feasible to expect not to use AI, But honestly, if that's the case, maybe the feature itself should be removed altogether; the minigame feels a bit like a waste of time and doesn't enhance the gameplay experience in any significant way. The time and effort invested in implementing that feature could be better used on developing the game choices and the main story itself.
From what I understand, the character models and still images did not use AI, which I'm genuinely happy about; I can only imagine the amount of time and effort it took to put it all together. I know that wasn't the case with the animations themselves, which I’m less thrilled about. Again, I understand that it may not be realistic to expect the game to include them without the use of AI, or that static images without animation may not be as appealing, but I personally could do without them. Then again, I’m more concerned about the ethics of using AI rather than whether the final result looks better with it. For that reason, I REALLY hope that neither this game nor future games in the series resort to AI writing; that would be the last straw for me and I hope for many others.
Speaking of writing, this is an area that could be improved, and it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect it. I know that expecting deep characters or storylines in a porn game might be barking up the wrong tree but I wouldn’t be saying this if I didn’t see a glimpse of what it might had been. At its core, the story of a young man discovering himself and experiencing his own gay awakening, intertwined with some family drama, could prove quite compelling; I was quite charmed by Sam expressing excitement about him exploring his new sexuality and what the future might hold for him. If you take Sam’s Stay more as a prologue/proof of concept, then subsequent games could explore this idea further by creating a story where Sam takes his first steps into gay lifestyle and culture, seeking people alike him (there are some indications to this already with Darius and some of the Findr dates), maybe even coming out, and by developing genuine relationships with characters whose personalities are further developed, with choices that actually matter and create unexpected consequences or different story branches (for example if someone like Jax, who seems more interested in something serious, was to be introduced as a character in the main game, I’d feel like developing a relationship with him could be in conflict with some of Sam's more promiscuous sexual activities, which mean that the player could be confronted with the consequences of his actions), it could result in something quite unique.
Personally, I would lean in the absurdity of the sexual situations and go for a more comedic and lighthearted tome, in the veins of other games like Coming Out on Top or All Men Are Pigs. But given the general aesthetic of the game as well as some of the lingering plot threads, such as the secrets in Michael’s room, I feel like the creator wants to go more for a realistic and dramatic tone, or maybe a mixture of both, so maybe games like Finding Buddies or even some BL Visual novels (such as Rosewater Game’s Forget-me-not) would be a better source of inspiration. Either way, it would require the creator to hone their creative writing skills, and aim for a more realistic (and to be honest, less cringey) dialogue as well as asking for feedback in the writing process. Again, for a pornographic game it's not essential, but it's not impossible and there's always room for improvement that can be very beneficial in the long run.
