Use of the limitation
The game is literally made using three colors, using dithering for shading and texturing.

None unfortunatelly, none were on hand. A lot of nuts tho.

The gameplay and mechanics feel polished and smooth, i liked the shader and color palette choice. Also a map on the right part of the hud is a fantastic idea. It will be nice to see more detailed enemies and environment, I think this game is a good basis for rogue-like project. You did a great job. You said that u ate a lot of nuts, now i want too...

This is a great take on a rogue-like that fits the fire inspiration and color limitation really well! Love the NieR influence as well. Only being able to shoot straight in the cardinal directions in combination with losing health with every shot really encourages the player to be mindful and precise with their movements and shots. Having an endless mode is really impressive for such a short jam!

Only critique is that the UI is a bit messy and difficult to parse, especially for an action game where things move quickly. Having more icons alongside the text, or spelling things out like "Score" clearly would help with this. On the other hand, some of the upgrades were difficult to infer what they were going to be before picking them up, because they are only icons with sometimes vague designs that have no link to the UI.

It was really fun to explore the map while fighting enemies. I kind of wish shooting was a little easier cause managing WASD and arrow keys at the same was kind of difficult.. or maybe I'm just bad at the game xD Nice game!

Edit: I really liked how the glow got smaller the weaker your flame was!

Good dynamic "dungeon" game, interesting enemies mechanics, and hero upgrades, well done!

I find this game's artstyle decent and its presentation on the game jam's fire theme and limitation good. There is a bug where i cannot pass a wall at the end of the dungeon.  I for got to capture it but the blocked wall is like the normal entrance but with an uncut wall...

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Can you specify where is the end of the dungeon? After the last boss the objective is in the center of the room.

I can see on the map that your game has randomized dungoen right? Correct me if I'm wrong. My first dungeon is where i encounter the bug. It was just a traight line with a branch in the mini map (the branch was just 1 room only) and at the end of the straight line, there is a door that isn't like the doors that i see in the map, it is blocked by walls but still have the round indicator showing that it is a door.

Yes, it is a randomly generated dungeon, perhaps there is a bug in the algorithm that is generating it. We'll look into it.
