How does your art incorporate the theme?
I went with a mermaid, a classic fantasy creature, set against an oversized pink moon and glowing sea to create a dreamlike, otherworldly mood.

Really nice detail work on the background! Looks ethereal!
I feel like there could have been a bit more variation in the shapes of the character as the body is pretty square and the tail is pretty straight.
Great job nonetheless!
I know you are aware, but the background looks really realistic while the character is really stylized. I know you can't draw a realistic human with a lower resolution, however I think here it would work if there was a lot more contrast, the character being more stylized. If she was drawn with lower pixel count I think it would work better.
I totally agree—I have absolutely no idea how to draw bodies. Thank you so much for your feedback; it helps me a lot.
Amazing piece! I really like the composition and the little mermaid, it looks great!
Two big highlights for me, where also the colors which I feel that you did an amazing job with, as well as the sky which I really liked how you portrayed!
That being said my main critique for this piece would be, that I would generally try to avoid a lot of single or double pixel placements that don't belong to a specific cluster. This is, because these types of pixels can create a lot of unnecessary noise. And while in some places it works better than others. I would generally try to be a little more careful when placing stray pixels! ( I would try to form distinct pixel clusters)
Regardless, you did a great job with the piece! I really liked the setting and the feel of it, really magical! Well done!
