How does your art incorporate the theme?
I interpreted “Fantasy” as imagining a reality that is no longer possible, rather than as a traditional fantasy setting.

This was such a pretty piece and a sad story in the description! Your take on the theme was a good twist, but I don’t know if it was communicated very clearly in the piece itself. I didn’t really understand what I was seeing until I read the description
Thankyou for the kind words! I tried to show the meaning with the empty chair, full glass and the lack of footprints to show someone belonged in that space but is abscent and the girl in the sky has the same hair and clothes as the one in the chair. I know it's not super obvious, but wanted to try let the art tell the story if it could, but telling a story with 500 pixels is tough :')
Yeah haha fair enough! Maybe it would have helped to see the girl and empty chair from the front instead of from behind? That way the viewer can see more of the girl and what she's doing (looking up wistfully into the sky behind her shoulder, putting a hand on the empty chair where she'd be holding someone's hand, stuff like that) and have a better chance to make the connection between the two. But those are just some random ideas that come to my mind.
Outside of any critiques about the theme or the story, you did a really good job with the small amount of space you had. The water and sand look really nice and everything looks cohesive
Thankyou for the feedback my friend just explained the rule of thirds to me and I think that could have done a lot too! :) I appreciate you taking the time!!!
This whole time I have been rating I had seen this passing by and thought it was just water. But now I have got onto i see the beauty!!! I don't think it screams fantasy but is still a very nice chill piece of art <3
it looks good, i dont want to give much feedback as i am new myself but keep the work <3

I liked the use of the colors here! I don't think it's that much connected to the theme but I still like it nontheless, great work!
Thanks! I went for a less literal interpretation of the theme — the fantasy is the woman imagining a journey with someone she can no longer be with in reality. I knew it might not read immediately, so I put a fuller explanation lower down on the page.
I really like your interpretation of the theme and it's such a cute piece.
Thank you so much!!
