How does the game fit the theme?
Fake Paths is built around the idea of not knowing who you can trust. Red impostors can disguise themselves and deceive Blue players, but their footprints can reveal their true identity. Players must investigate trails, observe suspicious behavior and decide who to trust before making a move.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
none

I think that with some tweaking it could be a very cool game idea - I liked the concept of painting yourself with the color of opposing team even if briefly. Shooting could be more responsive for more satisfaction. Overall that was pretty fun and atmospheric!

It has the feel of a horror game, but the world could be improved.

It's a funny little game, but the game is way too loud and the game loop gets boring as a single player. I'd suggest a multiplayer if you want to keep developing this, it could be actually really funny.

Thanks for playing! 😄 I really appreciate the feedback. I’ll definitely fix the volume, and I agree that multiplayer could make the game way more fun. It’s something I’d love to explore after the jam!
