this is a really good base to build a real game off of. already has a solid loop, good theme. just needs more polish and content like every other game made in less then a week. would have liked to be able to hire multiple people at once. great game.

I really enjoyed playing this game. Visually pleasing and mechanically intensive. Got caught off guard when my partner started shooting at me, fits the theme very well!

Excellent visuals, a fun shooting challenge, and I like the dynamic of being either betrayed by your npc partner or being able to betray them in turn just to get more money!

This is one of the most enjoyable games I've played yet. I like the whole aesthetic, sound, everything worked together. It also fit the game jam theme really well.
The only thing I wondered is why you wouldn't just work to get your partner killed every time. Then you don't have to split the money and they can't turn on you. It wasn't clear if there was a penalty for them just getting killed right away. I also wasn't sure how much health I had - it wasn't easy to tell if I was about to die.
Overall, really well done and a neat take on the theme - great job!

You can also kill your partner actively, if you're good enough. Some of them are quite tough to begin with. So really, trust no one includes yourself :-P
Yeah, the missing HP display is a major miss on my part, we'll include that on the full release.
nice work! i love the idea that you have to work in your buddy getting killed so you don't have to split the money lol. somehow it reminds me of playing split screen co-op with my friends and killing them just to troll.
i didn't understand what some of the upgrades did. like the winchester -- it seemed my gun was the same after.

btw, you can also actively turn on them by just shooting at them ;)
all upgrades work, but maybe it should be clearer what they do. the winchester and coach gun will be given as addition to the revolver and you can switch between available weapons with 1,2,3
Really fun game! Sometimes the buddies would get stuck to my hip and prevent me from shooting in that direction, so I used them to block shots and maximize my profits—until they turned on me 😂

I thought it was a really good game. I was playing on a laptop so it was kinda of hard but overall I enhoyed it
haha i can imagine it's tough on a trackpad. maybe we should add arrow key support on the full release :D
Great game, but it's pretty tough—one missed shot and you're dead meat. I have to admit, I killed my buddy more than once just to keep all the money for myself! That said, some of those buddies actually have a really good shot to protect me.
