So does that mean accepting the quest too early could also be a problem? Or is it that I did indeed need to accept the quest and then pick the right dialogue options?
Yes to the first part! Accepting a quest too early could be a problem because there isn't enough information to choose from, and on the other side of the spectrum accepting a quest too late could also be a problem as well :)
