I think its retro interface is really cool. A few minor drawbacks I noticed during my experience: I personally prefer beam-shaped projectiles (the game seems to use spherical ones); there's no aim assist or lock-on feature, and the player's projectile speed is a bit low, which makes it difficult to land hits when both the player and enemies are moving laterally; some environmental objects in the earlier demo lacked collision or any interactive feedback; and the game doesn't seem to introduce any additional narrative or mechanics that support the atmosphere.
