Came back to play after a few months. I had the Amulet Coin equipped, but it was also still in the shop... so now I just have two Amulet Coins. I'm assuming this might be a bug of a save file from an older version being loaded in. Also, the problem with a Pokemon being offscreen but still detected by auto-target pretty much negates Hypnosis's use if used at the wrong time, seeing as it can't be damaged offscreen.
