SPOILERS!!!!! Hi, I played your game and loved it. I left a review. This is a super creative game, and I honestly couldn't have made some of the stuff in this you did with my current knowledge, so I'm unsure if I am the best person to leave feedback. But even as a player I will. I thought that the art, sounds backrounds and music were great. The moving backrounds are cool. The humour shows through the whole game, very charming. I did find the parkoar section a bit hard to the point where it got a bit annoying honestly, mainly the bit with the long sections of spikes in a row, and the top one, only because it's after the rest and I'll have to go ALL the way back. This could be a skill issue, and same for the following; I got to the last boss and just can't get past the phase where it shoots absolutely loads, around 4th or 5th phase. After goes between the pattern one and random one (I'm terrible at describing mb). I will definitely give it another go though. I've probably been babied too by jam games usually being quite easy so that anyone can jump in. This is a nitpick really but maybe adding some bounce and sounds when you click and interact with things to make things more interesting, considering the game is mostly about buttons, but while playing it didn't bother me or anything, so don't worry too much.  I had to also go the google form to know to press f1 to get to boss, idk where else I would have found it in game unless I missed something. For this type of game I get that's likely intended to make it harder to find. Although for people like me who didn't know, it gets a bit frustrating when I'm determined not to "cheat" so trying loads of stuff for like 10 mins just to get nothing. Most of my critiques here can be apart of the game intentionally so if they are intentional, ignore this massive paragraph (my bad for yapping too much) lol. To be clear I loved your game, these are the few pieces of feedback I could find to give you since you asked, but overall the game is great. Also, here's my game if you have time to review it, but no worries if not: /jam/brackeys-16/rate/4951807

Thank you so much for the feedback!! I will definitely check yours later, i'm so glad you liked the game, and yes, the game is made to be really difficult as it is a rage game inspired by other ones like i wanna be the guy and the last part by really hard bullet hell games. I agree that i could've made a slightly clearer hint for the last part but as there was little time left, i just added an hint in the quiz section where the coin button says what to do.

yo, i just played your game, and for it being made by only one person, it was very nice! the graphics are pretty simple and some are a bit janky (like the evil doctor ones), but they are cute! (i love the slime's color design), the music was also nice. i think that the game itself is very easy (that's not a bad thing) and a bit too short, i think you could have made like some kind of final puzzle with all of the 4 slimes combined at the end instead of introducing the fat slime to just finish the game slightly after. i think the game is a bit unoptimized (i know i have a potato pc, but some other games ran better even if they were a bit more complex), but this is not a problem, since i don't think there are many people that will face this problem. overall very nice game since it was made by only one person!

Thanks bro. Yeah I lowk don't optimize at all lol mb. It's because my games are simple, but I should probably start learning now, as I slowly try to increase the scope of my games. I ended up having 3-4 days of actually making the game and the scope was ahead of me, so I understand the story was rushed, and the theme wasn't really met that well, I was kind of just trying to piece together a playable game. The animations I know I could do better, but it's one of those things where I always feel like I have the excuse to call it "charm" so I focus on other things instead that are more urgent. I feel like in game jams I always have the problem of some people being confused or finding it too difficult, so I made my game super easy, but after playing yours I think I'll change my mindset a bit because I think it would make it more fun and satisfying to beat. I agree that the slimes should be used in more "cool" ways, where they work together using their abilities to create an interesting puzzle. Thanks so much for playing my game, after playing yours it's like a celebrity giving an autograph, so thanks!

thank you so much for the compliments! i never thought that my simple game would've been this liked. i think that when it comes to difficulty you just shouldn't care about pleasing other people, i think that you should pick the difficulty based on what you prefer or what you feel is the most fun. of course i don't mean that because of this you should make an extremly difficult game without any clues on how to go forward, it should still feel possible for the player and satisfying in the end. i know that if you make a difficult game many people will get frustrated and maybe even leave bad reviews or feedback (it happened to my game) but i just wouldn't have had fun making a very easy game since it didn't fit the game's style, because it's supposed to be inspired by rage games.
