How does the game fit the theme?
People make you offers on your items. They may try to underpay you or steal from you.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I did not create the background music. It comes from Kenny's all-in-1 bundle.
All other assets and code created by me.

Nice characters!  Being able to skip the text would be great.  It slowed the game down a lot.  Great job for a first game jam.

I recently discovered my love for pawn shop games, so this was right up my alley! ;-)

Lovely characters! Really loved the part where they casually wanted to burn my house to the ground :D

Otherwise, I would have loved even more haggling opportunities! Also, a quick quality of life feature: letting players press Spacebar (or click) to instantly finish typing out the dialogue would make the pacing feel much snappier.

We added your game in our post mortem, i hope this is okay (itch.io somehow messed up the links to the games)

Thanks. I don't mind being in the postmorten.

The game uses the theme pretty well, I really do wish I could fast-forward the text but I honestly didn't mind it all that much.

Thank you! I've done text skipping in other projects I've doneit just skipped my mind this time

Interesting idea, and great for a first game jam! Keep going - with every new jam, it’ll get better and better!
