Description
Very short, prototype like ost with a location theme and a sort of boss theme for the location. Both were composed by me and arranged in FL studio. Genre of the game is probably an adventure RPG, but the tracks weren't made for any particular genre.

Message from the artist
Thanks for hosting the jam!

Theme

Songs of a Forgotten World
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
Endless adventure - heavy inspiration from the picture, the whole track is almost as if the harpies(I think they are harpies?) are taking a part in playing it. The whole adventure thing is also about the exploration of this "Forgotten world", traveling from certain parts of it, and maybe even entering more hostile ones. Tension - end of the adventure, the final encounter with something, that lunges us into chaos, almost mocking the adventurer and the harpies for thinking exploring the forgotten world would be a breeze.

Now these are some great tracks, eh?

Loved their composition, you've made somethings here and there regarding their time signature, especially in Endless Adventure, changing it really quickly just to spice the soundtrack a little more, and oh my god I got caught by those, simply incredible! Amazing melodies as well, Tension got a really catchy one by the way 😅

I just have a question about the overall set where these songs would be playing in the game, I felt a little bit of a disconnection. I mean, Tension didn't make me any tense or made me imagine I was in the very end of my adventure, actually I was humming the melody and headbanging, very relaxed LOL.

It don't make them bad by any chance, they're really awesome! Great work, buddy!

A very good job; I liked "Endless Adventure" a lot.

The only thing I’d say works against it, is that they feel disconnected from one another—even when they represent the zone's theme and the zone's boss. It doesn't have to be a bad thing, especially since there are only two tracks, and expanding the OST allows for reusing some of the instruments and creating greater coherence.

That said, the melodies are memorable and great to listen to for a good while; in fact, since they’re YT-Shorts, I listened to the loop at least three times per song xd

I didn't know youtube shorts could be over a minute long now.

I liked the energy these had. They were fun and catchy! I think sometimes they felt a tad rigid due to the sounds used. I think they would sound even better with. It isn't a huge issue, it's just somewhat noticeable as like sound font sounds.

That doesn't mean it's bad though. I still really liked the songs and they never got boring with lots of different sections in each song keeping them feeling fresh and invigorating!

Great work!

wow!! really cool compositions here! i really enjoy the 3/4 time signature and chord progression in this first track. i like your use of the chiptune soundfont here. i can hear the toby fox influence, but this is still very much your own and incredibly unique in the best way! well done!

Quirky instrument selection and very strong, memorable melodies. I'd like the drums to be a tad bit louder (probably some light clipping, and ducking the bass more), but I think it comes down to personal taste, I can see some people enjoying your mix more. Really enjoyable soundtrack, I can hear the Toby Fox influence, reminds me of Undertale.

Cute flower ;)
