A very neat concept of a game. The only real nitpick I can think of is that the sound for clicking on an attack is always a metallic "scissors" sound. When clicking paper/rock attacks, this "scissors" sound made me think I selected the wrong attack. Other than that, great work!

Overall a really fun and polished game! I managed to play through the whole thing since it wasn't that long, and had a pretty good time doing do. Most of my criticisms are more minor specific issues.
+ The art was great all round. The characters are distinctive and expressive, and the backgrounds look great too. I especially liked the cut scene attack the final boss does, it kinda reminded me of Library of Ruina, which a few parts of the game's art vaguely reminded me of too, tho idk if that's intentional or just coincidence.
+ The music and sounds also were great.
+ The gameplay was pretty fun. I liked the idea of turning the elemental weakness/resistance system you often see in games like this into literal rock paper scissors, and the different AOE ranges for each attack were a lot of fun to play around. Difficulty was pretty fair overall. I didn't take any losses until the last two fights, but it had a good sense of escalation, and those final fights felt appropriately challenging.
+ The game ran great with no issues except a kinda long initial load time, though that's not a big issue. Overall polish was very good, no other immediately apparent bugs either.
+ The humor usually hit, I laughed at a lot of the jokes. I kinda worry using current memes and references can lead to something ending up dated after a long while, but that's a general thing and this game isn't overly reliant on them.
- In some fights where many characters end up crowded together in a tight spot, it can get hard to see what's happening, as the character sprites overlap over the guy they're above, and all the health bars are the same colour so it's hard to tell friend from foe at a glance.
- On those final few fights where I had to retry multiple times, I think it would have been nice to have a skip dialogue option to get straight back into it. I overall liked the dialogue and wouldn't skip it on the fist go, but when you're retrying multiple times it can be annoying to have to skip through everything over and over.
Really like this game! Cool concept for a turn based game, like how you recruit people to go fight the final boss. Art looks really good and there is a good amount of strategy you can get out of this game. Also found the moist critical and a lot of the jokes funny. Great job, I really liked it.
The game for the most part is plenty fun, and i reached about till the point where you recruit everyone but didn't do the any of the Mini bosses that come under the Neo Leader Squad. The Game also has the right amount of difficulty too, since i did fail a few times so couldnt completely steamroll the game without strategy. Also did like the hints in the names themselves of what the type of character it is, took me a while to realize it though. Another thing is that even though I haven't played the first game, calling back to it seems kinda fun, gives the world a feeling of more happening in it.
Two issues I can think of are that the Charlie Cutscenes, both of them did lag like a lot which i don't imagine is intentional. Other part being that while the gameplay is fun, after like the 9 times I did it, felt like kinda repetitive in its structure, maybe it does get better and the mini bosses and Final Boss has more variety I didn't reach there so not sure. Just the characters having different types of attack moves didn't feel like it meant enough of a variety in the actual gameplay.
I really like the game play, and unlocking new characters mechanic!
To be completely honest, the lore and story did not click for me. After reading the first dialogs, I started skipping the others. The gameplay was what hooked me. I also liked the character designs :) Congrats on the game!
I recorded my thoughts live while I played in the doc below!

This is definitely my kinda game. The art style is completely my vibe, itās got that punky vibe thatās almost a cross between TWEWY and Scott Pilgrim, which now that I say that out loud definitely explains why the aesthetic appealed to me so much. Itās definitely a short title and there is SOME depth, but the way Rock Paper and Scissors overpower each other (in a way that is appropriate for the theme) definitely makes some encounters feel entirely matchup dependent. The real strategy shines in the last couple fights, where I had to really pull all the stops and strategize heavily in order to overcome the odds. I do think the humour is a little… more miss than hit, itās mostly meme humour, and while the Charlie stuff will probably be appreciated for as long as that guy is around, Scissors OāToole is gonna be stale in, like, three days at this point. Nevertheless, aside from Scissors OāToole which got a thorough eyeroll from me, none of the humour annoyed me or anything like that, so itās all acceptable. It would have been nice to get a little more customization out of the system, obviously thereās a good deal of building involved with your two party members and which skill the protagonist has, but I feel like this system has a lot of potential for customization that isnāt fully explored by the limitations of the gameplay as it is right now. In any case, this was definitely one of my favourite entries in this round of Feedback Quest. I donāt have many big nitpicks, this is basically just a fully fleshed out title, but I could see it being a backdoor prototype for a bigger project in which case I think it mostly works, but the combat is gonna need a little more meat on it for a game lasting more than a couple hours. In terms of the story, there isnāt much going on there, but thatās acceptable for something of this size. It can be difficult to write a compelling story, so something ridiculous like āa child runs society via Rock Paper Scissorsā is fine enough for what it is. In any case, very fun title, Iām glad I played it!
A role-playing game for the thinking person...or a person who is pressed for time and can't play all those epic 70+ hour RPS simulators with spells and stuff of that nature.
I believe that you could make a(n) (J)RPG lover with a game like this -- the controls are simple, the gameplay is easy to understand (unless you somehow haven't played rock-paper-scissors in your life, in which case, hi, welcome to Earth), and the music (shout out to Cam/UberPasta) is super catchy and energetic! I will definitely recommend this game to my friends! Thanks for the fun time (I will definitely try to beat it a second time, just to experience it again)!
I tried playing the game from Safari on Macbook but it didn't load. Is there some kind of bug? š¬
Noting an update we released tonight-
Update 1.1 | Minor Bug Fixes
1. Fixed an issue where special attacks in certain UI Slots (1, 2, & 3) did not display their RPS affinity types.
2. Fixed Scissor O'Toole's Ability description to properly reflect how the special ability effects allies in range, and not the user.
