Thousands of years in the future, it is discovered that the universe is infinite... Anything that could exist does exist. The only way of navigating this fractal space is to record your dreams onto webs of string and beads, and to use advanced computers to locate your dreams in physical space.

Follow the story of Maud, a lone traveler in search of En, a mysterious figure from a recurring dream. Their search will ultimately take them to a strange yet diverse planet: Strand of Red Liquid.

- created by Simitone and Waywardintime

Strand of Red Liquid has some INSANE percussion, tho the synth sounds kinda strange. I like the licks it has tho :3

Yawning Black Infinity is good ambient, tho club rave music passing by in the background is a bit confusing. I suppose it represents how you're passing through the void past some other things? If that's the case, that's a cool idea.

Dream Emulator - I liked the ambience and this abrupt cutoff into silence, honestly sounded even a bit unnerving.

En's theme - the quiet lead really adds to the atmosphere!!!!!!!! The percussion is very good here too. Generally sounds like you're chilling with your friends for some reason.

Sunmeadow sounds very dreamy and full of wonder :3

'of dew' is lowkirkenuinely nightmare fuel. So peak.

Between Dreams is an ear candy straight up. The panning of these jingly uhhh idk bells? Is very satisfying.

Secrets of the Baker's Hat sounds kinda jazzy, agains giving this feeling of wonder.

Windless is a satisfying ambient. Can see this playing while you're going through some desolate place.

'of stone' really compliments the many legs feature with thhis constant tapping. I like this small cute detail :3

Places kicks off with this uneven banging and seemingly random "running" synth chords, complimenting the feel of many many different places you zoom by.

'of stars' the heavy swirling bass synth in the beginning gives it a proper otherworldly feeling, and HOLY CRAP does the beat drop hit hard. Constant switching of synths compliments the intensity too.

No Longer Lone String feels like you're... Meditating, for some reason? And then that smooth transition in straight up jazz is so good!!!!!!!!!

Static Waves starts with these sounds of shore and HOLY CRAP WHY DO I HEAR LOONEY TUNES IN MY LEFT EAR oh wait why is this man talking about smoothing a container for some specimenWHAT IS HAPPENINGoh alright we're talking about how heart works... Genuinely this one feels like some creepy TV switching channels by itself. And as it goes into both ears in the end and becomes echoed it feels like it's consuming you. It feels very creepy.

Domingo En la Playa sounds like minimalistic waltz. The melody is really cool, and I love how some chords are subtly dissonant, giving a slight feeling that something's wrong. That bleeping is very satisfying for some reason too. And melody becoming less rhyythmic is a veryy nice touch that I forgot to point out in the previous tracks sorry :3

Overall, GUYS HALF AN HOUR YOU EXPECT PPL TO LISTEN TO ALL THIS?! I mean, I did, but HOLY CRAP YOU WENT ALL OUT ON THIS JAM. And honestly, that's a very cool submission, it becomes better and better towards the end composition and creativity-wise imo!!!!!!

Also the story is kinda, well, VERY abstract, but the concept is actually very cool!!!!!

Strand of Red Liquid - very nice beginning (LABS is great), i do feel like the main synth melody could have used some reverb or delay to fill in the abrupt silences in?

Yawning Black Infinity - I'd have to know in context why we're swapping between these delicate ambiences and the energetic beats. If there was a good reason I'd love it! Personally I could have had a whole track of just the ambient beginning!

Dream Emulator - Always love sound effect work

En's Theme - I love most of this! I feel like the panned knocking sound through the start is a bit too bassy though, it would draw my ear less if it was pitched up an few tones. Cool synth lead choice

Sunmeadow - I reckon throwing a slow auto pan on those arpeggios would be sick, really leaning into the "in the head" themes of the story

'of dew' - once it gets to about 90 seconds in, I get it. Personally think it could have taken less time in the intro to get the point across.

Betweem Dreams - Love the rhythm of the bass, I wonder if at the start you could gradually introduce all the rhythmic elements of it so it gradually becomes busy? Some of these instruments could have slow moving pans around the head again I think!

Secrets of the Baker's Hat - Uh I need to know the secrets immediately please, it's urgent. Love this one a lot.

Windless - I think if this one had a strong cutscene or cinematic moment tied to it, it would work really well. For me it's a bit too abstract to listen to on it's own, though all of texture work is great, the organ (?) fading in and out

'of stone' - some of these interjections are a little to loud for my taste relative to the percussion and bass. I had to wait a while for that upper melody but it was worth the wait, really nice processing on that sound!

Places - for me, this was the most tiring listen so far. I think you could have condensed these elements down into 45 looping seconds and still gotten the vibe across. Cool vibe, for me too long!

'of stars' - i have really mixed feelings about this one, but only because the opening is perhaps my favourite thing in this soundtrack. Grimy, purposeful, immense. The rest of it just doesn't live up to the promise of the opening for me!

No Longer Lone String - Ugh tasty, so tasty, love the choices at the start. I do feel like there are a few mistimed arpeggio runs in the middle section that sound not perfect enough to be perfect, but then not out of time enough to sound casual, if that makes sense?

Static Waves - ah I see, this was Bioshock the whole time. I was unfamiliar with your game. This is a looooong one though, a tiring listen after the rest of the album

Domingo En la Playa - a nice cleanser to bring the experience to a close

Wow! Great effort to see this entire project through. Some of the tracks could have benefitted from cutting down to really show what the point of them was, but overall I had a nice time listening to many of these.

I enjoyed the first 10 minutes or so,  the vibe was very somber and relaxed. However as it kept going it all kinda sounded the same. Slow moving soundscapes with occasional fast electronic hints is cool but 30 mins of that gets a bit boring. I do like the idea and atmosphere of the tracks as a whole but I feel like the whole entry could've been cut in half. Still a solid entry tho!

Thanks so much for the feedback everyone !! I've added a link to a full playlist at the top of the description. Once you click, you can find timestamps for all the songs in the video description.

Your world is very interesting and it's cool when you combine more atmospheric elements with dance music (like in "En's theme for example). The texture elements like in "of stone" are also quite cool.  It would be nice though if you had your songs in something like a playlist especially since they are so many and some of them have different file names than the song names so it gets a bit confusing (Sunmeadow and Windless), but it's very impressive how you managed to make so much music in a week!

Developer

Thanks so much!! Yeahhh, I didn't realize the file names worked that way, so that's my bad :p

Just want to comment and say, if you put it all on a playlist for streaming I'd gladly sit down and listen to the whole thing:)

Developer

Playlist is created !! (also nice catboy pebbles)

This was a lot of tracks, so I listened to 2 from each of you. I love the story in your description. I prefer the more orchestral pieces (personal preference, probably), but I like the fusion found in "Yawning Black Infinity".
