An incremental game where you ferry increasing numbers of rescued D-Day survivors across the English channel. Well themed throughout with good sound effects, and with a complete gameplay loop in three phases. However, after watching my men get turned into a red smear in front of my eyes countless times, and watching the death count creep up each day, I cannot say that I felt uplifted by this game.

Developer

Thanks for the review and for giving it a play! That red smear on the sand definitely doesn't pull any punches, it's a tough war out there! I was aiming for the emotional uplift to come from the relief of finally getting survivors back to Dover, but the road there is undeniably grim. Really appreciate the kind words on the sound effects, theme, and game loop!

Well made. Good job!

I liked that there are statistics at the end of the session.

If you like historical settings maybe you will be interested in the Historically Accurate Game Jam 13 (in October). Also - check out my game which is also based on history.

Good luck!

Thanks for giving it a try and for the feedback! Glad the stat screen landed well. Appreciate you sharing the Historically Accurate Game Jam, it sounds right up my alley so I'll take a look and see about joining. I'll head over to check out your historical game now, too. Thanks again!

Actually, your game turned out really well and is fun, but it isn't the friendly and relaxing game described in the description.

Developer

Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback. My goal was an uplifting theme about saving lives rather than fighting, but the actual gameplay is definitely a high stress test of skill with all the artillery and boat trips dodging mines!
