This is quite nice, You managed to make the very intimate piano sound nice and loud without it feeling too distracting which is very nice.

Beautifully composed. I really enjoyed this piece and can definitely hear it sitting in a more sombre moment in a game.
The C418 inspiration is strong and i love it, i was really peacful and beautifl. Tho i don't know if is me but some of the string notes were a little bit high for my ears. But overall really good work

Ok I real talk! I usually rate people high because I don't think it my place at all to be harsh or even critique really. I am usually happy to comment to participate in the community. It was an easy decision to give you perfect scores. The quality is the only thing I was on the fence about. Your piano was clipping every note almost on my end, which I think can be a creative choice, it is a timbre that can be used to great affect. When you had a more instruments coming in things became bit of wash, I think cleaner tones could heighten the piece even more. Forgive me on this comment if I am out line, also I know we don't have much time so maybe that was a factor here. Like I said though this song hits hard and I really want to thank you for sharing. Also I just want to commend you on making everything captivating. I think you attention to detail shouldn't go unnoticed. Plain eight note runs? No problem you add these little flams and dynamics that make them soar! Thank you for you music.
Hm, Curious. I've listened through many times, but haven't noticed any clipping. In fact, before compression and gain, the piece barely goes above -15db. I've cranked my volume, and can't notice the same thing as described.
I wonder if what you're referring to is the "Pedal" and "Hammer" sounds on my piano library? They're likely louder than stock, given the compression. These sounds most definitely aren't clipping (at least as far as I am concerned), but could be quite overwhelming, especially in certain headphones? I admittedly only mix in a set of quality audio monitors, so maybe I could benefit from hearing it on a range of different devices and audio sources?
In any case, I'll definitely keep this in mind, and consider dulling down these effects in future.
I'd appreciate if anyone else reading this could also chime in, so I can find the root of the issue, and if it's just something I'm simply somehow not noticing. Cheers!
Hey! just did a few re-listens and I am an idiot. So disregard the clipping comment. I am ashamed. I think what is it is around the E-flat(2) to around G(3) register your piano plugin has some harmonics from the piano recorded in and when I have my amp gain set on mid they come through pretty strong at times and put out a bit or fuzz on my end. I think the piano harmonics resonant a certain way at times to create this. When I set my amp on low this isn't an issue at all really. I am using an Topping A90 amp and Sennheiser HD600 headphones. I am told they are supposed to be quite clean and neutral. I don't know, I am all shoulders. Your piece sounds great, I really think the piano library just has some harmonic resonance, which is life when it comes to instruments and those quirks give instruments their voice and sound wonderful. Honestly on re-listen any skepticism I had dissolved away.
I felt the peacefulness flow through me the entire time! The intimacy of the piano was lovely, and I also loved the additions of the orchestral string and woodwind instruments throughout, providing what felt like evidence of new life. I think that the final chord extensions in the last chord roll were a highlight for me! Good work on this and thank you for sharing your music!
