Description
I'd consider this world and orchestral. I imagined that these sound tracks would follow an open world games similar to Legend of Zelda or Genshin Impact maybe mixed with an rpg, I wasn't entirely sure. I tried to write The Harpy's Sinfonietta as a sort of main theme to the overall game, and Lullaby of the Leaves as a loading page or a peaceful sound track while the player roams around an open world, and Battle Cry of the Birds I imagined to be a battle sound track during the more rpg -like battles in the game. I composed each track in Musescore and put it into Logic to overlay the background sound effects of leaves and birds.
Message from the artist
I wanted to improve my work from last year by improving my extensions of melodies and trying to keep a similar motif throughout all my pieces, which I think I did pretty well. Although, I don't think the actual pieces themselves sounded particularly good as this is not my best work since college just started for me and I'm getting adjusted.
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
I wanted to follow both the written and visual theme but I think I ended up only following the visual theme (unfortunately). I was trying to go for a ancient Roman/ancient Greek style(?) by using different traditional instruments from around the world (taiko, congas, lute, etc.) to fit the visual theme, but I'm unsure if I achieved this.

Good job adapting the main leitmotif into three different themes which is an important skill when writing soundtracks, especially in a short amount of time. I also think the soundtrack could benefit from having different motives or even jumping from G to a different key center for a change. You have good orchestration choices, especially in my favorite track, Lullaby of the Leaves, which has nice interplay between voices. You can go even further and build dynamics through orchestration by having a quiet section and a loud section in the same track. Great work here and really good job matching the theme!
This track is enjoyable. I love the bells incorporation with the choir. Imo that adds a lot of texture to the track and i love that.
But i feel sometimes the track gets way too loud at points. (mainly in the 1st track)
