Difficulty spike felt a little too steep once the fog rolled in. I also couldn't figure out the sound cue for the boulders, and I was having a bit of trouble locating the chimes, but maybe that's just a skill issue. Otherwise, I loved this! Even with no music, the ambient sounds were great and atmospheric, and the sound effects felt perfect. Love the simple pixel art style, and the fog mask looks great too. I could totally see this being taken beyond a game jam and made into a fun little browser game, maybe even with procedural generation further down the line.

Developer

Thank you! I didn't include music because I thought it would make important sound cues harder to hear, and I didn't really have much time for balancing. I actually do plan to make a small extension to this with better balancing and procedual generation, maybe even different kinds of holds or hazards.

Cool game, a bit too unforgiving when the fog starts, but it's not bad. Well done!

Thank you! I agree that the fog is a little tricky, though I didn't really have time to balance the game well.

I love the incorporation of sound in it! No doubt one of the best games ive played in the jam so far

Developer

Thank you! I really wanted to emphasise the feeling of having no clue where you were and to really ring on the idea of being forced to navigate through mostly audio.

I kept wondering where the fog was; once it arrived, I wished it didn't exist lol. I have a prototype for a similar game—I really like this style. Congrats! If the animations were a bit more visible, it would be perfect, but it's great as is.

Thank you! The fog proved to be a little tricky to make look right, and in the end I had to settle for something mediocre due to time. Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

One of the best games i played in the jam the gameplay was replayable pretty easy to understand good sound effects and the prerequisite and theme was great

Developer

Thank you! I really tried to have a large focus on the theme and prerequisite, good to see that it worked!

To be totally honest, I felt like the gameplay was quite simple at first, but replaying it and noticing that we need to keep our ears peeled for sound cues... rating just got up. The usage of the prerequisite was good, a bit difficult (but that's just skill issue), and really adds to the whole gameplay. Good job!

Developer

Thank you! I admit it's a little harder than I would have liked, but I didn't really have much time left to balance the gameplay.
