Description
A soundtrack written for Lone Rabbit's OST Composing Jam #9 based off the theme "Songs of a Forgotten World". All tracks were made within FL Studio.
Songkeepers is an adventure RPG following a trio of critters that belong to the Songkeepers Guild, an organization dedicated to finding and preserving ancient song relics from a past civilization. The party travels the world together, visiting all sorts of places in hopes of finding ancient ruins where these song relics reside. The game's soundtrack was written primarily using the SGM/TH soundfont, with a few extra instruments taken from Zenology Lite and the SWAM Collection.

Theme
How does it fit the theme?
I mostly took the written theme as inspiration to create a world where an ancient civilization has left behind ancient song relics. The Songkeepers Guild goes out to collect these forgotten relics to preserve and learn from them.

I love this! Especially the shop theme, such a banger
Nice entry! All of your tracks definitely sound connected and the consistency is there. Something I would work on is the mix, all around the balancing could use a bit of tweaking. Asides from that this is solid work <3
wah.... huh? this was perfect! the main theme is very well crafted and the character themes did not feel shoehorned in at all. You've got the full life of this story/game here. You executed so well. And the nuance in Valor's theme perfectly captures her backstory and her role in the trio. And Sir Billsworth's theme is so spot on to his character design. Listening to their themes and just looking at their characters none of it felt out of place. This is so good. And that shop theme? So comfy. Seriously, excellent work.
Love the marching drums in the first track, the percussion in all 6 gives it a solid base to feel the tracks' pulse and move you along the journey. Very solid album!
Excellent soundtrack (and illustrations on the project page too) I liked it a lot !
I really appreciated mostly the effort on characterization on the characters with the appropriate instruments and vibe given to them (like in Peter And The Wolf, the instruments are so accurate that you can easily picture what kind of characters the tracks are associated with). It gave them a lot more depth and it made your characters come to life thanks to it.
Concerning the tracks themselves they were very solid, I think liked most the Songkeepers theme (it introduces pretty well the kind of universe your characters are evolving in), Valor's theme (great vibe) and Sir Billsworth the IV's theme (great goofy energy for a great character also).
Overall very solid work (as a soundtrack and as a whole with the presentation ), excellent job !
Each tracks perfectly depict the characters' identity and design! Love the variety of instrumentation, effective and straight to the point.
Wow this gave me a flash back to when i was 14 playing Pokemon ruby. Specially love the shop theme, sounds like something that would be playing in the cantina in star wars.
there is a true coherence in the composition and arrangement, that's the best part of your submission IMO ! Some chords progressions are beautiful too. GG !
First of all, I LOVE ALL THE ARTWORK!!! This is such a beautiful display of pure creativity, and your dedication has really impressed me. This game should be made! Find a programmer!
Songkeepers: First of all, with soundfonts being such a limited toolset to work with, you've made this sound really incredible. Applause for that! I'm curious about the moment where all the melodies are played in sequence. Perhaps there could be some space to play with counterpoint between the melodies, or have them blend into one another more? The main theme is just exemplary, and really accomplishes the adventurous feel you're going for.
Abel's Theme: Aww, this is so earnest and heartwarming. The B-section with the harp and pan flute is so sweet! I am rooting for this little fox boy so harddddd
Valor's Theme: So far, I appreciate the minimalism of these tracks. It fits the distinct soundfont style very nicely. It lets the music itself sing.
Sir Billsworth the IV's Theme: bassoon + silly, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it. This is just delightful. The pizzicato section is just so cutesy! You've used music to bring the characters to life, well done :)

The Mad Ratters: This has to be my favorite!! Like yeah, these rats are up to no good. With every passing track I'm more sad I can't play this game...
Another big hidden gem for me. This one deserves fame and glory! It's certainly one of the most unique soundtracks so far, and the world you've come up with is very intriguing. Great work, and keep writing!
