Description
Suggested genre or stylistic approach would be an Exploration game that allows players to navigate through a world inhabited by mythical creatures.
Aesthetically the game will use the @silverpeel artwork, utilising the colour palette. The game’s themes will not focus on combat or violence, instead using exploratory puzzle solving as the core progress mechanic, although there will be more intense missions where there is an increased level of danger for the player.
Message from the artist
The ‘Forgotten World’ imagery for the theme inspired me to draw on my own music background (classical/orchestral writing & jazz), especially as a Woodwind specialist, recording a range of flutes, whistles, recorders for the project.

Incredible flute work ! On Intensity especially it feels wild I lived it !! And the theme coming back at the end of that track a great impact on my listening experience, really nice touch.
I feel like some tracks were a bit short, like lacking some developpement. But that's the only point where I can think on some constructive feedback. The overall sound is impressive and immersive, working really well with the theme. So cool to have you on these jams ! Thanks for sharing this inspiring work :D
Thank you Peluche! Did what I could in the time I had :)
Such an awesome sound you've created! The quality is phenomenal and the technique as far as I can tell as a non flautist is super impressive, is that something you used alot with nyjo? (I assume you're familiar with Gareth lockrane too, thats my principal reference for this kind of thing). I think given the quality of the production and recording I was a bit disappointed that tracks were so short. There was never enough time to create much of an ark over a track, it all felt a bit atmospheric or groove based which would fit great as a backdrop to many games to be fair, but i think I wanted to hear more story telling through harmony, meter and motivic development within each track. I think my favourite track is intensity because it does this pretty well despite being only a minute and a half.
Definitely will be checking out your other work after this!
I am just... speechless. Your soundtrack is just a masterpiece. I am blown-up !
The background textures are so beautiful, those flutes are gorgeous and those drums... they have so much impact, so much energy and so much power.
This was just an absolute DELIGHT for my ears. Thank you very much for this present, sir. I will enjoy replaying it, and now I must take a look to your other works as well.
Thank you, much appreciated!
Wow, when I saw your name I was wondering where I have seen that name before and now I remember ! I was astonished by your work on Dragons Legends of the Nine Realms, I even did a piano arrangement of the main theme 2 years ago so seeing you there was a great surprise xD.
Well, easily my first favourite in this jam, the musics are gorgeous, really professional, unique, it has a great atmosphere and I love those flutes, it is as beautiful as the Irish Flute you used in the Nine Realms.
Prologue :
I love the strings, the harp and the reverb, it adds more magic and it gives me Ori vibes and from 00:42 to 00:48 is incredible that crescendo with the flute, the strings then it softens, really smooth !
Main Menu :
I really love the flutes in staccato and the bits at 00:26 where the strings come suddenly. If you could tell how do we name this technique I would be pleased !
Exploration :
I'm fond of the part at 00:10 that comes suddenly. The flutes are still awesome, and then it transitions very well to a splendid melody, then the way you repeat the part from 00:10 at 00:22, multiple times throughout the song makes it more alive, it catches our ear and never bore us.
Intensity :
Well it's in its name, the intensity is well done. I love the strings at the beginning, I don't know if it's named spiccato, but I love this technique, it's always beautiful when it's well done. I like the flutes and the drums after that, it gives the sensation of a threat in a foreign world. I like the part at 00:50 the violins really increase the intensity. The climax after this is gorgeous with that flute.
Closing :
Great atmosphere, great ambiance, it's a nice closing to these 5 tracks.
That was I think my favourite of this jam, it's one of those musics I keep in my files to listen to it from times to times. The one I enjoyed the most is "Exploration". I love your work, keep going !
Prologue: The shimmering pad is really beautiful and is complemented by the colorful string harmony beneath it with the subtle plucking swells. The echoey wind instrument feels distant yet also intimate since it is some of the only movement over the large swells. I feel immediately transported to a forest with magical or mystical qualities. This is very pleasant and relaxing to listen to and sets the scene very nicely.
Main Menu: Ooh the style variance is very cool. This makes me think of some Monster Hunter music I’ve heard, more so in matching the type of locations that exist in those games and the types of instruments they tend to employ. The flute tonguing techniques are extremely well-made, and in fact I think the performance techniques used for most of your instruments feel life-like and high quality. This is my favorite of all 5 tracks!
Exploration: This track solidifies that you captured the feeling of the theme image really well. It feels intimate yet spacious, acoustic, mystical, relaxing but somewhat mysterious, with elements of play and fun. I love the plucking ear candy of the guitar and stringed instruments that support the mix from behind. Very nicely done!
Intensity: The commitment to using your flutes to convey intensity is a really cool move, since it would be far more common for mainstream music to use a bigger or more robust instrument. But I think the low percussive and rhythmic buzzing is so synergistic with the drums that it makes me wish I could play flute just to play along to this song and feel the intensity growing through the playing. I can tell you really got into this one and that extra energy can be heard in your playing and yielded a very spicy and energizing result!
Closing: The harmonies and fullness in the waves of sound feel especially special in this track. As I listen to the end, I feel a sense of disappearing of the world or leaving it behind. This is a serene and somewhat melancholic cap to an exceptionally well-crafted and recorded OST.
Wow the recording quality with mixture of non-recorded instruments blends so well and adds so much life to the world of the theme image. Very gorgeous and professional from start to finish! Excellent work and thank you for sharing your music!
Thank you for the kind words :)
Amazing!! Your tracks are so well written and have great mix! If I had to choose a favorite track, it would be the exploration theme because of the sense of freedom, though Closing is very beautiful too :)
Thank you!
High quality compositions! Usually I try to listen for something I think the composer could try out to see if they think it improves their piece, but I got nothing here. I highly enjoyed all 5 songs and thank your for sharing.
Incredible instrumentation, your use of Woodwinds for this soundtrack really makes it shine and gives it a lot of life and energy that is very much appreciated !
I really liked the variety of vibes between the tracks and the energy each of them have, it was really pleasant to listen to and the mixing/quality of the recording elevates the experience quite a bit (I only wish that it would have been longer, but it speaks more about the quality of the listening experience).
Excellent work, congrats !
Cheers!
sounds like a nature wants to kill player in the most safest way, and its good. All insrtuments sounds like they try to recreate a music from jungle, and thats good. Sounds come up together and create a beautiful songs, and thats good. I liked your OST, but i dont see any storytelling in music, and thats not bad.
Thank you for listening
Live recorded instruments adds a lot to the feel of the tracks. They are more alive because of the humanity of the sound.
The songs are all very tribal sounding which is really cool and the soundscapes you've presented are really nice.
A varied and fun OST which is what I like to see in OST jams.
Thank you @Jofes! Much appreciated
Woww. Simply amazing composition and musicianship. Love the choices of textures, greatly complemented by a variety of woodwinds.
Thank you @Dacelo!
This is a banger start to finish! The live instruments sound gorgeous.
Cheers @Kazmord, glad you enjoyed it :)
