Wandering Roots : 0:28 there is something weird going on between the synths and guitar arps, don't think its intentional , need to look that up melodically and fix what is happening to fit the chord transition. I like the "meow" pluck synths. Nice buildup also when the real melodic synths starts is a nice touch. I would just change a couple of very basic and predictable chord at around 0:54.
The Gardener : Really like the chords and vibe, its well mixed there is multiple sections, I like the phaser effects also, this one is pretty well done, short but well done.
Symphonia: Very bassy but I like the simple tone, could probably tone down a little bit the bass just a smidge,
The System Maintenance: First thing to look, cut some frequency on the bell instruments can be easily annoying. Great sound design its very unique. I also really like the transition when the pulse bass starts. Snare is definitely too loud and I think there is room but percussions build up here and go very dark, distorted
Pat's Song: Sounds good I like the simple vibe, this one is the more neutral track of the bunch in my opinion, but it still feels like its part of the whole soundtrack
Mixing wise all the tracks are well produced, arrangement has some nice ideas, just missing a couple of stuff here and there to embellish and make everything more kick ass. Well done.
Having a track dedicated to a skill tree is a pretty neat idea. Most of the time if anyone includes a menu theme, it is the main menu or just a general pause theme.
I think I would have liked if there was more natural sounds to go alongside the electronic ones since it is a garden. Things like xylophone or woodwinds to portray the natural side of things beyond the mechanical.
Thanks a lot for the feedback! Indeed, adding more organic elements, be it recorded instruments or samples, would be a really good idea to try and explore.

Great soundtrack (and amazing production too, I'm glad that I listened to it with my headset to appreciate the subtleties of the mixing in stereo) !
I see where you coming from when you said that our stories were very similar (very different settings though, it was nice to see how you did the worldbuilding on your end to come to the final twist of it).
Concerning the tracks themselves they all had very nice instrumentation and arrangements with mixing that made them shine as much as possible.
I think my favourites were The Maintenance System (great buildup between the different parts, with its calm mood and more ectic parts I could picture what kind of game it would be and how dynamic the rhythm of the gameplay would be) and Pat's Song (great melancholic track to conclude the OST, reminded me a but of Shinobi III's Credits theme).
Overall excellent soundtrack, congrats for your great work !

Overall atmosphere is really well done. The mixing in the album is cranked to 11 on nearly all voices, would like a bit more subtlety in some parts. Nice progressions through each piece, most the most ethereal take on the theme I've heard yet.

I always struggle with my mixes and try hard to make each instrument find its place in the track, so if you have the time I would really appreciate if you could elaborate on your point.

When I went to your submission page to listened to the playback there, I had to turn the volume of the player down under 20% which isn't' a big deal. I too struggle with knowing how to properly mix my soundtracks, so hearing feedback is helpful in gettin other's perspectives :)

The soundtracks really give off the vibe of a space garden which goes extremely well with the game, really creative and unique, same with the story. I also love that you made a theme for the skill tree!
Thank you! Very happy to hear you felt the music suited the game concept! Yeah, and originally I wanted to develop the Symphonia skill tree theme further to have it progressively grow, adding all the musical elements of each sector of the game, but I ran short of time in the end.

The production and the composition on the whole thing is amazing!! loved the chorusy guitars on the first track, almost every single track on this gave me a feeling that I've felt before but can't exactly pin point what it is. I love the strangeness of the "maintenance system" probably my favorite title. Thank you for the awesome submission.
