Description
I wrote this for a game perhaps similar to Cult of the Lamb. I composed both tracks in Logic Pro, and sampled my voice along with other percussive sounds in both tracks.
Heartbeat Ritual - This track originally started off as something that might play on a game over screen, as I could imagine the long forgotten civilisation coming together to mourn your death through song (using voice and pitched percussion such as xylophone). I felt that it was too calming to be a game over track, and so I imagine this being played in a village where the tribe leader has died, and the tribes people are performing a holy ritual.
Thriving Camp - I'm personally less happy with this composition. I imagined it taking place in a much busier and thriving camp where this long forgotten tribe of creatures was living. I used reversed vocal sounds combined with sampling a kalimba from my desk.

Message from the artist
I put this together in a few afternoon for fun :)

great chord and melodic choices here. "literally just a person's voice" as an instrument feels weirdly kind of underrated. in a way it can lend a bit of a silly vibe, but when put together with the beautiful composition it goes beyond that and creates a deeper feeling. i do however think maybe the vocals could use a little more processing to have a slightly more alien or at least ambient vibe, but that might not even be what you were going for

(as i'm writing this comment i'm kind of worried the stuff i'm saying makes no sense here lol)

Wow the vocals in Thriving Camp are really cool! It's super interesting how you're combining the vocals with the percussion. It really gives the tracks a lot more character than if you just used the percussion themselves, and I can picture them fitting in well in a game!

Solid project all around! I think the vocals were used in a really interesting way! I do think the ambience works really well. Good work!

Sweet and short little track - connects really nicely together with Heartbeat Ritual. Thanks RedoLedo for your excellent submission!
