I dig the animations you’ve gotten into this game! I did, unfortunately have to choose between dodging or shooting because of how my keyboard works so for most parts I was very slow and died a lot. Great jam-feature though that death didn’t really mean much in the end. Else I would have gotten nowhere!

Though it is a big ask for a jam, I would recommend key-rebinds or controller support for any game that has more complex input schema than just WASD/Arrows because you never know what type of hardware or physical limitations people have.

The narrator / texts were nice to and added a lot to what otherwise was a very linear game.

Since I had kinda given up on playing the game proper before even starting I didn’t look too closely, but one mechanic that could have been good was if you regen life if not hit for a few seconds. But with free respawns I guess that would not have felt like a big difference unless there was a reward for not dying.

Wow!! Thank you for the video review as well. It’s always nice getting to see how people play the game. I’m sorry about your keyboard set up! I didn’t even think about split keyboards - that definitely would have made things very hard. I had every intention of putting in key rebindings and controller support but sadly ran out of time. It would’ve made your experience much better and I’m already working on a post jam update.

I planned on having health pickups, and a lives system where killing enemies earned you lives but those features didn’t make it, hence the infinite respawns (which I think fits better for a jam because it lets players play to the end).

I also wanted to have 2 more attack types (another crowd control attack and an ultimate attack), 2-3 more enemy types (a tank and a caster, maybe a boss), and gold to purchase stat boosts/attacks but again ran out of time. Perhaps post jam I’ll keep working on it if the motivation is there… thanks again for playing and your feedback!
