[Paid/Revenue Share - TBD] Looking for a 2D artist and UI designer for a small multiplayer arena shooter (GDevelop)

Hi all,

I'm building a small top-down 2D multiplayer arena shooter in GDevelop (4-player matches, with a map-voting system between rounds). Core systems (lobby, voting, networking) are already working — now I need help making it actually look good.

Looking for:

  • 2D Artist: character sprites (top-down), a few arena/map tilesets, maybe some simple VFX (muzzle flash, hit effects)
  • UI Designer: menu screens, buttons, HUD (health, score, map-vote screen)

Style: haven't locked it in yet, open to discussing — leaning toward something clean and readable rather than hyper-detailed, since it's a small arena shooter.

This would be for a small paid release on Steam (€2-4). I'm still figuring out whether this can be paid work or revenue share depending on scope — happy to discuss openly, no false promises.

If interested, feel free to share your portfolio/examples of similar work!

Hi! I'm pixel artist with experience in top-down characters and tilesets.
I'm used to working with indie budgets, and I'm happy to discuss a scope that fit the project.
I'm also open to discussing the art style and adapting it to whatever direction you decide to take.

Hello, your arena shooter project caught my attention. I’d be interested in helping establish a clean and consistent visual style for the characters, maps, and effects. I’d be happy to show you some of my previous work and discuss how I could fit into the project.

Hi NovaGames — the map-vote screen looks like a useful place to start, since your voting logic already works. For four players, I'd make the chosen map, vote counts and countdown readable at a glance, with a clear selected state that doesn't rely only on colour.

If a fixed fee fits your budget, I can offer US$25 for that complete UI asset set: one layout for up to four map choices, vote/countdown labels, default/hover/selected states, editable SVG and transparent PNG exports, plus one revision round. This covers the visual assets; your existing GDevelop voting logic stays with you. Delivery would be within three business days after agreeing the brief and receiving your current screen dimensions and map thumbnails.

Would that paid scope work for you? A screenshot of your current vote screen and one visual reference would let us agree the style before starting. We can quote the menu/HUD separately if you like the result.

Hey! I am interested in the 2D Artist role for your multiplayer arena shooter. I create 2D game art and would be happy to contribute character sprites, environment/arena assets, tilesets, and visual effects.

The project sounds interesting, especially since you're still open to developing the visual style. I’d be happy to discuss the art direction and help create a clean, readable visual identity that fits the fast-paced arena gameplay.

Feel free to DM me I can share examples of my work and discuss the scope and collaboration details

Hi NovaGames — do you still need the health/score HUD for your arena shooter? I can offer a small fixed-fee asset task for US$25: a health bar, score panel and normal/low-health visual states, delivered as editable SVG and transparent PNGs with one scoped revision. This would cover visual assets for your existing GDevelop logic.

My current SVG/voxel samples are here:

Would a paid task at that scope fit your budget, and can you pay through PayPal? If so, a current gameplay screenshot, target resolution and one style reference would let us agree the layout before starting.

Do you need a studio to serve you

Here’s my Discord: johnmaxwell09136. Feel free to contact me if the project is still available. I think we have quite a few things to discus

Hi NovaGames — if the muzzle flash and hit effects are still needed, I can propose a small fixed-price task: USD25 total for two custom pixel effects, one muzzle flash and one hit impact. Each would have 8–12 transparent PNG frames at one agreed size (64px or 128px), a spritesheet, playback timing notes and one revision. Proposed delivery is two working days after agreeing the visual reference, dimensions and scope. This covers the graphics; GDevelop integration is separate.

Current animation samples and a free Fire Impact download: https://briefcraftlab.itch.io/prism-vfx-01 . These are my self-directed asset samples, not prior client work.

Would a fixed USD25 fee fit your budget if the pixel style suits your game? A gameplay screenshot and one reference effect would let us check the fit before any payment. You can reply here or email briefcraftlab26@proton.me.
