Hello,

Dragon Isle Software sent me! They really liked your game.

I finished the game twice. (Atleast what I could access)

Things I liked

  • The dash is perfect! This is really important for a combat game
  • There was no performance issues whatsoever on the browser build
  • The attacks work as expected and are really satisfying
  • The sound design feels on point.
  • the boss got me hyped up to kill him.
  • the boss was easy enough for a tutorial boss and I did not break a sweat or even lock in. He was defeated both times.

Points for improvement

  • After unlocking the new orc weapon, the next area gives memory out of bounds error. It crashed both times I tried to enter.
  • The tutorial prompts I completely missed in my first playthorugh. So I didn’t even use Q and E to fight the boss the first time.
  • The orc abilities I unlocked feel less cool than the paladin sword abilities I already had. They also seem to have more range. (havent tested this. maybe they have more damage)

Overall, I enjoyed the demo you have here! Looking forward to seeing more.

(I am a bit unsure whether this can be called a demo because the gameplay content is very less so far. I know its a WIP but calling it a demo sets the expectations of total playtime a bit higher.)

If you have anything specific to ask , let me know!

Hi there!

Thank you so much for playing through the game twice and taking the time to send such detailed and constructive feedback! I'm super glad you enjoyed the dash, the satisfying combat feel, the sound design, and the boss hype!

Here is how I'm addressing the points you raised:

- Memory crash bug: Thank you for reporting the "memory out of bounds" error after unlocking the Orc weapon. I already fixed it I just need time to upload it, I just had to add the weapon to the player

- Orc weapon & abilities: I'm still actively working on the abilities and deciding which ones will make the final cut. As for the Orc weapon, my goal is to make it hit with higher damage but have a slower attack speed compared to the paladin sword, giving it a heavier, high-impact feel.

- Scope & Demo: You're completely right! It’s not really a full demo yet—it’s actually just the game's tutorial section for now, which is why the playable content is still very short.

I'm still deciding what skills to give the player for this one, but I'm leaning toward a shield skill that grants around 50–100 extra HP with a high cooldown/delay. Regarding the tutorial prompts, I'm curious—how did you miss them on your first playthrough? Did you just walk straight past them? I thought I had left enough space between the tutorial items, but clearly they were easy to overlook! By the way, pressing ESC (Pause) displays all the tutorial controls. What do you think could be improved in this section so other players don't miss them in the future?

Thanks again for all the support and testing! If you have any other specific thoughts or feedback, feel free to reach out anytime!

- Other weapons & upcoming content: I actually have a few other weapons built into the game:

• Lightning Weapon: A fast and agile weapon with lower damage that uses lightning attacks (earned by defeating the Electric Boss).
• Fire Weapon: Deals medium damage, but offers considerable range.
•  Grass Bow: Just a fast low damage bow with dodge and high locomotion speed
• And the last one, the Water Boss: I'm currently wrapping up the Water Boss (you can check out a short preview here:) But I still need to create the sword and shield verstion to add to the player.

The web version is pretty buggy, but that's mostly Unity's fault,I'm sorry

There’s only the web build tho. I downloaded the build but even that’s the web build.

For the tutorial prompts, I’ve noticed text on the bottom center is easily missable. You can just show the prompts on the center of the screen instead, or slightly top of center.

Since there are only a few of these, there shouldn’t be an issue.

Looking forward to the new content!

I understand! I’ll take a look and adjust the tutorial prompts in the itch.io version.

Can I ask you one more thing? If I release the game on Steam, would you consider buying it? I’m thinking about pricing it at around $10, with 11 bosses. Do you think that’s a fair price?

I’ve been making games for years, but I’ve never actually released one before. I think I’m finally going to release this one!

Would definitely consider buying. But I’m not sure what you should price it.

You should definitely look into it more maybe? There’s a lot of resources about how to price a game.

OK, thank you !
