Heya,

I'm working on organizing a collaboration between all of the Shadowdark creators from Appx. N Jam. If you're interested find me on the SD Discord or msg on bsky.

Unique concept. Layout is very clear. Room descriptions are easy to understand. Some interesting encounters.

I’m confused by the procedure to choose the traitor. After the traitor is tapped I’m missing something. I also had to read the part about the “knower” a few times so that could be explained better. These are “procedure” things.

Take this next bit with a grain of salt because I got excited after reading and started thinking about how I’d  run this.

IMO Endgame could be more interesting if it was a gladiator battle or something simpler. 11. And green flame Just felt anti climactic after an exciting build up. I’d use the green flame as something to interact with but not the ultimate conclusion. You have already set up opportunities to eliminate the rivals within the party and I’d like to see even more of those plus more ways to gain advantage. This is the most interesting part of the adventure for me and I’d love to see you double down on it and keep the conclusion simple. Providing a way for the party to collude or escape would be good too so there is still player agency.

So to sum up: I think you need more space to explain the procedures and maybe a longer end game too - appropriate to your vision.

Basically a good idea every line of text. Like it's dripping cool ideas. Too much perhaps, but who cares. A strong contender for my favourite entry.

There's so much cool stuff here: the mini-mafia game, the angel trying to correct an exorcism accounting error, gingivitis demon, unexpected character death. I particularly like the corpse that resembles a player and the modification to Orc-lore. You're not born one, you become one. There's a lot of clever and unique mish-mash of various concepts and tropes. It's a Survivor-Cage Match-Mafia-Dungeon Crawl.

I really like this design. The textures plus the colours make an awesome combo. It's a really fun adventure premise as well!

Very unique combination of Werewolf/Mafia with a dungeon! And the concept is explored within the rooms with the member of a previous party, plus the digeridoo’s effect making players have to trust each other. Seems like it could be a fun one-shot to run!

Also, great use of exhaustion as an inventory slot! I’ve seen it used in other RPGs before, but not in Shadowdark! I might steal this idea for my games in the future :D

One minor point that could be improved is that it took me quite a while to understand the doors and the secret door within the walled area. I’m still not sure if it’s the door to 10 that is mortared with pink salt, or the one to 8.

I like the story/concept a lot and players mistrusting each others is amazing for one-shots like this. Cute map!

A delightfully surprising little pamphlet!

I don't entirely understand the social deduction aspect as written and the motivation to playfully mess with each other is something that isn't clear to me either. I think that being forced into what amounts to some sort of arena death game means that your only option is to compete which does track but that's just my read on it.

What I want to praise here is how effectively the scenario and its mood, npcs, and room situations are all conveyed in so few words. I can learn something from this personally!

The scenario itself strikes me as pretty damn unique as well and it gets major kudos for being an outside of the box kind of scenario that isn't specifically tied down to a dark dungeon with loot inside.

I am seconding all these points. I've never seen anything like this before.
