Since the rating ends on Friday I do want a little bit more rates. So can y'all give me feedback on my game.

Heyooo I beat your game and rated it.

Here's some feedback:

In terms of theme, because there isn't much of a resolution with Dee and we don't know who or what they are, it makes the narrative and the "trust no one" theme feel like an afterthought rather than interwoven with the game. Dee portrays themself as unreliable, indecisive, secretive... but for what? In the end, it didn't matter even if I was invested so it felt inconsequential. I think with some world building about what is going on in the grand scheme could be room for a lot of sci-fi fun. Like maybe the player is a 2D experimental clone #1948919 that is needed to navigate somewhere in a 3D world in order to rescue X, but all the previous clones could not handle the 3D world so Dee is attempting to spoon feed it to the player? And then expand on 4D etc etc

In terms of gameplay, I caught on to the dimension slicing right away I'm sure there's a lot of impressive math going on, but gameplay wise, not knowing where I'm about to slice or rotate to just leaves a lot of the gameplay to guesswork and sitting there and holding Q/E or Z/X. It would be cool if you could provide some sort of direction for the player to challenge them, not in a guessing game, but in something involving logically solving the platform of the level or hinting what's in the other dimension. For example, flashing the higher dimensional world via some type of visual echo location or just showing the 3d world with a binding to F or something with a cooldown. Could be an idea that makes it more of a thing to solve?

Hope this feedback helps with the game design! If you have time, please feel free to rate my team's game as well :) /jam/brackeys-16/rate/4937629
