Cute idea!! The dialogues were very quirky and I did like the humour. I do really love the 2.5 D art as well, it really reminded me of Don't Starve!!
One thing I would add in the game is to notify the player when there is an exclamation mark to check, or maybe give them some sort of map so that they could see where the exclamation marks are!! I did think I was just walking around trying to figure out where the new dialogues are so it would be a helpful addition!!
