The scrolling text alongside the music does help to glue them together 😁
I thought about displaying the submission in other ways, but this seemed to be the only way for it to not be a total pain in the ass to read the text together with the music without needing to manually start and stop the audio files for the different parts of the story as you read through them.
Yeah, the parent stuff does not really have a lot of setup before the reveal at the end, mostly since I'm not that good at writing (especially dialogue) and decided to do it this "narration" style while keeping stuff pretty succinct, which meant I the bits of the story really short.
I initially had the thought of having the parent machines appear at the underwater facility for a boss fight or something, so where they would actually talk a bit with familiar sounding voices to the main characters, but I didn't end up doing that (maybe I just didn't want to write the boss/fight music for it? 😂).
