For some reason Chromebook is bugged :-( we don't have access to a Chromebook so we can't recreate the issue on our side to figure out the problem. I am so sorry ☹️
i seem to have has the same issue! i've downloaded the game and don't play on a chromebook, but it seemed to be connected to speeding through the day (the clock disappears)
i also can't seem to close the game easily - pausing just gives volume sliders
