It's impressive!
I'm really curious to know how you made something like this in Pico-8.
I really liked the art style, and the mechanics are great—it's simple and entertaining, though I have to say it's very difficult.
Thank you so much! I’m really glad you enjoyed it.
I’ve always loved difficult games. I grew up with games from the 80s and 90s, when figuring things out, learning enemy patterns, and failing a few times were simply part of the experience. Games today are often much more intuitive and forgiving, so difficulty is something I really value and try to preserve in my own projects.
I’ve been studying and experimenting with PICO-8 for years, even though game development is still more of a hobby for me. My main professional focus is Game Audio — composition, sound design, music production, and audio for games.
PICO-8 is where I prototype a lot of my ideas. I use it to test mechanics, gameplay concepts, visual ideas, and complete game concepts before deciding whether one of them has enough potential to become a larger commercial project.
I’m really happy you liked this one! Feel free to check out my profile and try some of my other games too. I have dozens of PICO-8 projects that I’ve developed over the years, and I’m slowly uploading more of them.
Thanks again for playing and for taking the time to leave feedback. It really means a lot!
