How have you integrated the theme "Freedom but at what cost" in your game?
In Blackout, freedom comes at the cost of safety. The player must move through the maze to escape, but movement causes their bioluminescent light to reveal their surroundings and their location to nearby predators. The player can stop moving and blend into the darkness to avoid detection, but doing so also means losing their ability to see and navigate the maze. To reach freedom, the player has to take the risk of being seen.
Where and which 3 colors have you used?
I've used black #00000, red #D6455A and blue #005FC4. Everything is mostly back, the enemies have red accents and the player has blue accents plus a blue screentone effect.

I won! I like the enemies - they are very cool, I just wish I knew how to avoid the damage. The character easily got stuck on walls, but the music is really great, nice work!
Thank you for the feedback! The way to avoid damage is to stop moving, since you blend in with the darkness.
I'll definitely try to work on making player movement better and gameplay more exciting
Cool! I’d love to see it developed further.
I think you did a good job of making the color limit still work with the lighting gradient and the third color to show enemies is cool.
I hope you keep developing this! Has a lot of potential. At times, it can be frustrating instead of rewarding, but I understand it's a very tough line to walk in this gametype. Nice game!
Not a bad little game. It’s missing some progression and polish, of course, but it’s understandable that there wasn’t enough time to do everything.
Thank you! I do plan on developing it further after the Game Jam (hopefully)
The game is neat, but definitely needs to be a bit faster
Moving at a snails pace feels very unresponsive at times. Also not being able to adjust the volume kinda blew out my eardrums with how natively loud the audio is lol.
It's not a bad concept, but definitely needs some touching up!
Thanks for the feedback! Sorry about your eardrums OMG T0T
The gameplay could be more exciting, but I didn't have time rip
For the speed, you can toggle to a faster speed using Shift, but I get what you mean about being faster! Thanks again :)
