How have you integrated the theme "Freedom but at what cost" in your game?
Throughout the game, the player strives for freedom from divine oppression—embodied by the title Against God. However, as you unlock powerful transformations like Demon or Lucy to achieve absolute strength and break free, the difficulty scales dramatically. The boss becomes far more aggressive, relentless, and suffocating, turning the battlefield into a trap of constant darkness and overwhelming projectiles. In Against God, true power and freedom come with a heavy price: the harder you fight to break free, the more destructive and desperate the struggle becomes

Where and which 3 colors have you used?
Pitch Black / Deep Black: Used for the oppressive background and darkness that swallows the stage. Blood Red: Used for the striking eyes, hazards, and aggressive boss elements to create a tense, haunting atmosphere. Pure White: Used for text, highlights, and contrast elements to make UI and key details pop against the darkness

Didn't really know what to do but was fun anyway. The text could have scrolled faster but at least skipping worked so I didn't have to sit there 5min waiting for the text. Tip for the quit button. You shouldn't put one in web games. It only freezes the game until you reload the page.
In Godot you can check if it is running in web with OS.get_name() == "Web" and hide or remove the button.

Thanks for playing, nice advice, btw

Nice pixel art!

Will note that text for controls seems to have become compressed, to the point of illegibility, for the items at the bottom of the screen.

Developer

Thanks for noticing that, I will take more care about this details in the future

Punishing game! I wish the features/weapons were introduced one at a time so I had a better idea of what to do at first. Good job!

Nice game!

Took me a bit of time to understand I could switch forms and I didn't figure out how to shoot, but there's a cool vibe!

Appreciate your comment, I'm going to work on how to make the difficulty curve fair

Cool game!

I wasn’t able to get the fire working, but did get to the final boss.

I liked the narrative and how fighitng left traces of battle.

The audio was a little bit grating at times.

Being hit was quite punishing, but the shield made it almost irrelevant.

It was a little overwhelming having all the mechanics from the very beginning, so I rarely used dash and just tried to fly my way to the top. I did think it was fun to try different characters.

Thanks for playing, yeah you're right, maybe some tutorial at the beggining would be helpful, nice feedback
