The game was simple but felt too grindy.
First level screen clear gave 1K coins.
Second level should have given more for screen clear. Getting 1K for all those clicks not worth it. Stopped playing it after playing second level for a minute

how the game fits the uplifting theme?
Relaxing, cozy, and simple gameplay. Relive the past-time of collecting seashells with wave sounds and lo-fi music.
how the game fits the ocean theme?
It takes place entirely on the ocean shorelines of locations inspired by real-world shelling locations.

Can you vote for other entries during the voting period? How many?
Yes, as long as the voting period is over the course of at least a couple of weeks, I can probably vote for all of them. I'll try to vote for as many as I can!
The gameplay is simple but surprisingly satisfying, especially collecting the shells and watching the waves bring new ones in. The relaxing sounds and cozy atmosphere make it really enjoyable. It feels like a small game, but it has a lot of charm
Thank you for this game. The menus are very polished, that's quite impressive!
I appreciate that you put the effort into adding the latin names and factual data. I'm trying to think if there's a way to make each reveal more unique... Maybe if the information container shows first only the image of the shell and after some miliseconds show the data?
Not sure how you tested the game but it seems that to unlock the next beach would require finding 500 shells before I can see the next beach. 100 shells ~= 6000 gold.
It can get tedious to click five hundred times (not counting swiping the sand)... Maybe it's just me.
Good luck!
I loved this game. It is pretty satisfying with a layer of simple mechanics. The waves deposit new shells which is perfect! It brings the old memories of collecting shells by the beach. This could be turned into an incremental game easily.
Thank-you! I agree with the potential. As it was developing, it was becoming more and more clear to me that it was turning into one of those infinite clicker games (like a cookie clicker), so I tried to pivot and lean on that a bit more towards the end.
If there was one thing you wished it had, what would that be?
Thanks for responding.
There are a couple of things:
1. When the game tells me all shells collected, I assumed, I can move on to next area but then I realized I can pick those shiney ones and kept on collecting rare shells. I felt the message was incorrect then.
2. When I am really ready to go to next area, I wish the game would tell me, hey, now you have enough coins to go to next one.
3. Maybe turn this into actual clicker! Buy a robot to collect those shells for you! Lol!
cool satisfying game, love the interactions and sound design, ui feels really polished
Thank you for noticing the UI. My goal was to ensure that the UI was as polished as possible and that everything has a purpose and works. I think the music is OK, but I feel like it does get droning after a while, I would have preferred to make my own, but there was not enough time after I spent 4 days drawing shells lol
very cosy and satisfying game! also the sounds you choose are very relaxing
It’s a pretty interesting concept—perhaps I didn't fully grasp it—but I got bored quickly.
The gameplay was very satisfying! Using a touchscreen almost feels like clearing the sand with my fingers!
The concept of introducing different shell types is a very creative approach to the theme Ocean. The gameplay on PC works well as an aim trainer. The waves delivering more shells is an interesting level of attention to detail. I also love how you added mobile support to the game, because I believe this game is more suited in that platform. I got to collect 3 shiny shells in my playthrough. Pretty proud that in my first swipe, I got a shiny. This game has a lot of potential as an incremental game, with a correct addition of narrative and an interactable "alive" npc. Items in the shop can be expanded as well, like increase sand clearing radius, click collection area radius, a pet that roams around to clear the sand or collect shells for you. I managed to get all the shells in world 1 and have 1200g, but had to drop it 8 minutes later, as the progression felt too slow for my taste.
