This was our first game, made by two developers in our spare time and neither of us are artists. Some of the artwork was made using the free version of Gemini, as we had no budget, wanted to finish a small project and wanted to be transparent about it in the description.
We totally understand that some people don’t like generative AI and we respect that opinion. But for our current project, we’re taking a different path: instead of using AI, all of the art is being drawn by me.
Thanks for the thought…

Ok, but looking back, in the 2010s early developers used pre-made assets or resorted to very simple or careless art for their first projects.

In that sense it is not so different that no one is born knowing how to do things on their own.

If you see it as a way to advance to the next dev level, starting with automatic processes and then learning to do things on your own seems like a great idea to me.

Of course, this is just our first step. What we focused on more was letting our game be introduced to the community and getting feedback so we'd develop ourselves more into the right direction. 😌

We hope that you enjoyed playing the game apart of the AI-generated artwork and that it didn't stop you from getting the immersive experience of testing your memory under pressure.☺️ -RonnaFemto Team
