Saludos!

The first week of the JAM was fantastic; I鈥檝e connected with developers from all over the globe—people from France, Spain, the Philippines, the US, Poland, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Taiwan, Japan, and Argentina, among others.
The main goal was to meet developers and programming enthusiasts. That鈥檚 why the theme was revealed well in advance and invitations were sent out, while still welcoming those who joined a bit later.
I felt that simply calling on programmers for a "classic" JAM didn't quite fit the purpose I envisioned for the project. I also wasn't sure about everyone's situation regarding a genre as well-known and popular as "SHMUPS." Furthermore, sticking to tradition would have excluded several projects I really liked—games that couldn't participate because development had already started or demos already existed.
So, why not give those who had already started a chance and tweak the rules a little?
A key concept:
If they already had the idea conceived and on the right track, how could they incentivize the developers?
That is when the idea arose to design certificates for the JAM winners—a token serving as a record of their special participation, intended to encourage them in their goals and foster continued growth in the world of programming.
We鈥檒l keep following your projects and updates. I hope you鈥檙e all doing well, and I am deeply grateful for your constant presence, questions, and interaction with other participants. It鈥檚 something I never imagined would happen, and it鈥檚 amazing. To everyone on the Discord server, on X and Instagram, and those following along on Itch.io—thank you all so much!
The final days are approaching, and on Saturday—around late afternoon or early evening, Argentina time—we will announce the winners of the first "WARP ARCADE JAM 2026 - LEVEL 1."
Cheers!
