10 Seconds To Die is excellent. The fantasy is immediate: you only have 10 seconds, you die a lot, and every death feeds a satisfying upgrade shop. I loved unlocking jump first, then run, then coin multipliers, then the gun, and watching routes open as my stats climbed. It feels simple, direct, and perfectly tuned for short jam sessions.
What stood out:
- One of the best Craftpix presentations on the submissions page
- Extremely clear Ten + Level Up theme read
- Upgrade loop that teaches controls naturally (WASD → shop → shoot)
- Strong 1-bit art, readable rooms, and cool later encounters
- Clearing the game after farming felt genuinely rewarding
Suggestions:
- Coin Multiplier is very strong — maybe soft-cap it or raise later costs so combat/movement upgrades stay equally tempting.
- Allow run + shoot together more cleanly; aiming from the character’s current position instead of click direction made some rooms fiddly.
- A tiny jump-cut / variable jump feel (release to stop rising) could help when jump height gets huge.
- Bump default audio a little; I had to raise volume to hear it well.
- Optional: show a “best clear / min spend” or speedrun-ish tracker, since the economy invites optimization.
Overall this is simple, intuitive, and theme-perfect. I had a blast. Great work, SinsRay — this one deserves a strong finish in the jam!
