RogueOut Racing is my indie game currently in development, and I need your help to make it better!

The game is far from finished, but it finally has a solid core!

Obviously there are still plenty of things to improve, polish and add and that's exactly why I need your feedbacks!

You can play it here!

Whether you find a bug, something that doesn't feel right, a balance issue, a confusing mechanic, or simply have an idea you'd love to see in the game...I want to hear it.

You don't need to be a game developer or an experienced tester. Just play, have fun, and tell me what you think!

Every bit of feedback helps me understand what works, what doesn't, and where RogueOut Racing should go next.

If you enjoy the game and want to support its development and follow the journey from an early build to the finished game, I'd love to have you with me on my Discord Server !

Thank you for playing, giving feedback, and helping make RogueOut Racing better. ❤️

I can’t playtest this one honestly — it’s a Windows download and I don’t run downloaded builds — so this is your store page rather than your game. I sell asset packs on itch, so weigh that.

Your browse tile has no one-line description. Your profile grid prints the RogueOut Racing cell as cover, title, author, genre, platform — and stops. Nine of your twelve other projects do have that line (Sushi Rush: “Fast-paced sushi madness — serve, slice, and survive the rush!”), so this isn’t a habit, just an empty field on your newest page. It’s the only sentence a browsing visitor gets.

Your five animated GIFs are 400 px wide and total 7.5 MB. The two PNG stills I checked in the same gallery are 1579x873 and 1569x878, at 0.70 MB and 0.43 MB. So the GIFs are a quarter the width of the stills sitting next to them and your heaviest one costs 2.4 MB for a 400x173 frame. Re-exporting them at the stills’ width — or as short mp4/webm — fixes the size and the weight together.

Thank you so much!

I totally forgot to add the tag line ahahah

Tomorrow I'll fix the gifs problem, I never noticed it!

Unfortunately I can't upload the game for playing it in browser because it's too heavy for be played in a browser...still it's very well optimized while playing in the pc, but it's a large game and the browser can't handle it?

The core racing loop sounds like the right place to focus first. Are you planning to prioritize handling and controls before adding more tracks and content?

Yep I'm working on a new mechanic to stop a jump and reach more quickly the ground. If you do this you will also get a boost.

What do you think I should improve?

Hello!

We played this game and made a YouTube video:

On top of that, here’s some extra feedback:

  • Beautiful visuals! The art style works very well for this game.
  • I think the UI struggled a bit with controller support, there were a few areas that were difficult to navigate with a controller. I think that window at the end of a race is one example? Unclear if we messed something up on our side!
  • Racing feels amazing, very smooth and allows you to go really fast! It’s very satisfying!
  • We tried a 3-player race too, I think the game was struggling a bit as it would freeze briefly every few seconds.
  • The stage with the desert has one spot with a tight turn, leading to a really thin path. We all struggled on that part in the beginning. It would be nice if it was a bit more obvious where the track is!
  • We found that it’s possible to skip checkpoints, but it’s hard to tell when we did it accidentally. Maybe highlighting the next checkpoint for each player would help!
  • The lava stage was really great!

I hope this helps give you an idea of the first-time player experience. We also added a link to your game in the video description, so more people can find your game! Thank you very much for making this 😁

Hi Tomada! 😊

I recently released our game with my crush Belle Rivers on itch.io, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in checking it out. No pressure at all—I just thought it might be something you'd enjoy. I think it'll make for some great content. :)

If you have the time, I'd be really grateful for any feedback.

Thank you, and keep up the awesome work! 💜
